The Bean Deluxe Ultimate Exerciser with DVD & Pump

My husband adores this exerciser because it supports his back as he does abdominal exercises. He has three crushed vertebrae which he has to make sure are well supported when he does physical activities, and The Bean does the trick. I had originally bought one several years ago at Walgreen's from their As Seen On TV aisles for $100. He used it so much, he finally wore it out. He tried and tried to patch it, but the patches just wouldn't hold. This was was about $170 because the company no longer makes The Bean, but it is a good investment for him.

I have had a Bean before and love it. This one, however has a slow leak and I have to pump it up every other day. I can't understand why the quality of it feels a bit less than the first one I had a few years ago. The exercise books are very informative with easy to follow pictures. Over all, the Bean is safe exercise for my back and is a good workout at home.

I bought this product, actually I TRIED to buy two. The first one leaked and I couldn't inflate it. I never did find out where it leaked from. The second one came with a big hole in the part that was folded in during shipping, must have come from the factory that way. I gave up. Amazon was very good in retuning my money.

The Bean is a neat exercise item -- or would be if it didn't LEAK! Mine lasted about two weeks until it sprung a hole right along a seam. Tried to fix it with the included vinyl patch material, but it won't hold airtight. Thing stays inflated long enough to use, but it's a pain to have to pump it up every single time.Deal was pretty good...but wound up being not so great due to poor product quality.

I have had this product before a few years ago and wanted one again. It is a good workout. The only thing I was disappointed with was that it said something about being wider and more comfortable and I didn't find this to be true. Overall a good workout.

I just purchased my second Bean which I will use at the fitness center at work. At first I did not like the color since I have the original Bean. I like the versatility of it. When I don't feel like rocking I can turn it over and do stretching or leg lifts or use it like a stability ball. I have not had a problem of either of my Beans leaking. There were a few times my original bean did loose air but that was because the top became loose and I had to pump it back up and screw the top on tighter.I lost 20 pounds working out using the Bean! My problem was I stopped exercising and I had gained weight. I started using the Bean last week and I have already lost some weight. My clothes are much looser on me. I felt my abs, butt, legs, thighs and back muscles tighten. I never get bored using the beam. I like using it with my resistance bands and weights. Each time I use it I get more creative in my workout. I have seen alot of negative comments about the Bean which has not been my experience at all. I love both of my Beans.I am short and I do like the largeness of the original. Although, my new Beam is smaller I still get a good workout on it. I also love the handles on it. The handles makes it easier for me to carry it.I have no complaints about the Bean. The Bean works for me! The Bean Rocks!!

Overall this product is a 4 star. It does excactly what it says and has been durable only reason I gave 4 instead 5 is because you have to blow up 2 different sections and the top was suppose be like a lumbar & that did not last, the item busted just on the top layer.

I have used a bean for many years but have also had many, After a very short period of time they leak. The kit does not repair the leak. i have tried many other ways to repair it but of no avail. Would seam that if the top section (clear area) was eliminated perhaps this would help. As the leaks always come from on of those seams. But the concept is great and I love it other than that. Very easy to use. But will not buy any more as it appears some one is making money on the fact that people really believe as I have that I did something wrong to make it leak so simply chalk it up and buy another one. Very glad that Amazon asked for my opinion and that I read the other reviews..
