Infinity Instruments Gear Open Dial Resin Clock, Gold

Thank you to whoever uploaded the picture! I am planning to paint my clock in a similar manner and am glad to see that someone already did it and it looks great! I will post a picture as soon as I pick my colors and paint it. I see great things in store for this clock... which in turn will mean my wall will look awesome soon too:)Few details about the nitty gritty... First clock would not keep the right time, but thankfully the replacement works great! Definitely looks cheapy the way it came, like it was sponge painted a goldish color, but family still says it looks nice on the wall (it's not in a position where people see it up close). Should be an easy fix with some paint and I think it's a great price for an interesting clock! I'm happy with my purchase:)

Straight out of the box this is not an attractive clock: But Steampunk is all about being a maker, so if you approach this clock as a maker project it is great!The paint job is terrible and since it's basically one colour the clock is impossible to read. (It's cheap: What did you expect?) Yet there is actually a lot of detail and texture in the casting of this cheap piece of plastic. All it takes is some paint and your own creativity to make this a really fabulous wall ornament that tells time.As others have posted, establishing a contrast between the inner face and the hands is necessary to make the clock easy to read. I opted to use Triangle brand's "Sophisticated Finishes" metallic paints, mixing my own colours from their antique bronze, gold, copper and pewter finishes. For the outer dial, numbers, and hands I combined antique bronze and copper to get a nice warm, but dark, polished bronze look. For the inner dial and "gears" I mixed several lighter tones to create both a more brassy and polished coppery set of tonal ranges, using them to contrast and highlight the molded details of individual "gears" and "screws" and "bolts". The final result is both practical and pleasing to the eye.Four stars because it's a great kit but not the nice finished clock it first claims to be.

I agree with all the reviews on this clock. You will either open the box and say WTF, and return it, or you will open it and say "Yay, I can customize this". It all depends on your frame of mind. The clock looks nothing like the picture as far a color goes. It is a very cheap plastic. It is poorly spray painted a textured dull gold color, on the front- not even in the crevices. It is all the same bland color. I knew I wanted to paint this clock, but damn was it a lot uglier in person than I expected. Anyway, I am painting it now and only about halfway done. I already like it a lot more and I'm getting excited about finishing it. What's best about painting it yourself is it will match your decor perfectly. I only paid $15 for it. Hell, the paint and brushes costed that much. In the end I think it will be worth the money. I just wish the company selling this clock wouldn't even bother painting it at all. The weird texture makes it to where I have to apply three coats of acrylic craft paint to cover the ugliness underneath. They should just market it as an unfinished clock and I think the right people will still buy it. 3 stars because it's so great and terrible at the same time

I should have read the reviews more closely. The entire unit is a single piece of molded plastic, painted a bronze color. It looks good from a far and in the Amazon picture, but up close it looks (and is) cheap and fake. There are no gears, nothing moves besides the hour and minute hands. Maybe the affordable price should have tipped me off.

I bought this knowing that I would want to do a little modification (the picture is very accurate). Brushed on flat finish black acrylic paint and rubbed off the high points (did this about 1/4 of the circle at a time) and painted the hands gloss black. This took maybe 15 minutes total, it looks great, does not look cheap and tacky (it did have a plastic look before, but come on - it's a twenty five dollar clock. It looked exactly like the picture). It keeps very accurate time, and it's a really nice, big piece - 18 inches is much larger when it's on a wall in a small space than it seems like it would be. It has a very steam punk look now for sure, and I've gotten lots of comments on how cool and interesting it is. Since I was expecting it to be the basis of a very small project and intended to mod it from the start, I think it merits five stars.

I guess I got what I paid for. First off, this is a really cheap plastic clock (which I knew when I bought). That being said, it looks alright... Until you get closer and see the golden spray-painted dog hair stuck all over the face. I was disgusted but really wanted a clock so I proceeded to put the battery in and set the clock. The icing on the cake? Clock doesn't even work.I've never taken the time to write a product review before but was compelled to by how horrible this clock really is. Please don't waste your money.

As in previous reviews, yes it is plastic, but the paint finish on it is very nice. How often do you pick up a wall clock? It looks great. I am going to repaint the hands to give better contrast and might even paint some of the gears like some of the talented people who posted pictures earlier.The clock is larger than I thought, but that is my fault for not actually paying attention to the dimensions in the description. It has kept accurate time forthewhole48hours I have had it up. I would not place this close to where you sleep as there is an audible ticking. My wife and I really like this clock.

A wall clock for $20 bucks that doesnt necessarily look like a cheap $20 wall clock is pretty good. Thin, cheap plastic, but the design and look from a distance is cool. I put it up. Looks good. So far tells time. No one is going up and examining it so it does exactly what its supposed to do.I will agree with some comments that from a distance its a little difficult to see the hands at times. But a little paint or even a sharpie, problem solved.I got a piece of art that sits on the wall, tells the time, and no one can really tell is a fake.Worth the $.

It's made of plastic. Not worth the cost. I thought it's antique clock with metal finish. It's very light weight. Not worth it

Es plástico como dice la descripción, pero el reloj está bonito, el color dorado es un poco más opaco del se ve en la imagen, las manecillas son del mismo color pero solucione ese problema pintándolas de negro con pintura vinci y quedo muy bien

El reloj es bonito, luce bien, funciona bien, pero.... El único pero que tiene el reloj es que las manecillas están pintadas con la misma pintura de toda la carátula del reloj, lo cual impide que puedas ver la hora con facilidad. Si volteas a ver el reloj no ves las manecillas y no sabes qué hora es. Tienes que esforzarte para ver la hora, sobre todo si estás lejos y como es un reloj de pared, se supone que para eso lo tienes, para que desde lejos puedas ver la hora con facilidad. Si las manecillas fueran de otro color que combinara con el reloj le daría 5 estrellas
