Ultimate Drum Lessons: Gospel R&B

My husband is a drummer and he will love this dvd that I have purchased for him for Christmas. I am so glad that it came so fast! I ordered and paid for it on 12/10/12 and received it in the mail on 12/17/12! Super excited about his facial expression on Christmas!

I thought it would be more in depth teaching. Title should be, " great drummers/ different styles" or something. I enjoyed listening to them play, though. Not Disappointed, just thought it would be more teaching.Thank you,James Tunstalle

A great piece of work, that gives drummers a different way to approach music. I enjoy watching, and learning from this video.

Disappointing. I expected better quality video and more educational value than performance. This should not be called Ultimate drum lessons, since there's very little in terms of "lessons". Great performances, but the educational value is more conceptual than instructional.

I disliked this because there is no lessons in it. This book would be great for the teacher. I gave to my drum teacher.

would not buy if you are trying to learn

Juchuuu, da ist sie, die Gospel-Drumming DVD!! Ausgepackt, rein in den Mac. Ultimate Drum Lessons, wow, da kann man bestimmt noch was lernen. DENKSTE!!!Schon beim ersten Feature (Steve Smith) denke ich: Moment, das kenn ich doch irgendwo her? Der Eindruck wird bestaetigt, und auch fast alle der folgenden Features kannte ich. Wer die Modern Drummer Festival DVDs sammelt hat praktisch 80% dieser DVD schon im Schrank stehen. Dann noch Steve's Drum Set History und Aaron Spears' Beyond the Chops (die sowieso in jede Drummer-DVD-Sammlung gehoeren) und man hat 98% dieser DVD. Nachdem ich einen genaueren Blick auf die Rueckseite der Huelle geworfen hatte war alles klar: "The material in this compilation has been previously released by Hudson Music" lese ich da in kleinen gelben Lettern. Kein Wort davon in der Produktbeschreibung.Die "Ultimate Drum Lessons" bestehen aus kurzen, nichtssagenden Snippets. Als Anfaenger kann man nichts mit den schlechten Erklaerungen anfangen und die Pros kennen das Zeug eh schon. Erklaerungen zu tollen Licks oder Rhythmen Fehlanzeige.Bei den Performances bewies man ebenso wenig Feingefuehl und presste den wohl schlechtesten Nicht-Metal-Drummer Auftritt eines Modern Drummer Festivals (Marvin McQuitty) auf den Silberling, ebenso den voellig verkorksten Auftritt von Gerald Heyward, bei dem die Technik(er) komplett versagte(n).Desweiteren ist die Audiospur nicht mit der Videospur synchron(Ton ist zu frueh), was ich bei einer Drummer-DVD, bei der es um jeden Frame geht, schlicht inakzeptabel und unverschaemt finde.Fazit:Was Hudson Music hier anbietet, ist das Allerletzte, ich fuehle mich komplett verar***t. Schlechte Machart, mieser Inhalt, eine reißerische um nicht zu sagen taeuschende Werbung, pures Reste-Recycling der letzten 10 Jahre und das alles zum Apothekerpreis. Wenn ich koennte wuerd ich den Mist direkt wieder zurueckschicken. Die wohl schlechteste DVD seit es Hudson gibt.
