The Tone Hammer is a great DI for recording which is the primary reason I purchased this unit. I also use it as the front end (for practice) with a JBL powered speaker. The build is solid, the sound quality is spot on and I could not be more pleased with my purchase. Would I buy other competing products? The answer is yes. Like microphones, preamps and compressors, Bass DI’s all sound a little or a lot different. This was the exact sound that I was looking for. Nuff said...

I love everything about this pedal, almost. The AGS button for extreme overdrive/distortion, has way too much gain. It's not usable in a live environment. It would be great in a studio, when you can reduce the output level as needed, but that's not always possible in a live show. My music director has complemented me every week since I bought it.

Clean, quality pre, the tone adjustments are musical. You can dial in many different tones, but the extremes of the adjustments are not ridiculous. Built extremely well.

This was a great deal. Fast shippong great customer service. Tone Hammer is a must on any bassist's pedsl board. Love the extra smooth heavy tone it can add.

It immediately fixed my uneven volume between E A strings to the D G strings on my PBass.

Totally recommended. It adds My Ken Smith BSRB 5 a new life. I bypassed the internal preamp and became addicted to Tone Hammer, really a must for almost any bass. Good for passive basses too. Big quality, reliability and most important clean and powerful sound.
