I normally go for a Hoya filter but decided to give a budget filter a try to see how it performed with a Zeiss lens in a Sony a6500. The lens cane packaged similar to more expensive brands... in a box which contained a plastic storage case and a foam insert. Unfortunately the foam insert was only on one side and would provide no protection for the opposite side.The filter works by gradually reducing the light entering the camera so you turn the filter in the direction indicated and it gets darker. The graduation of this filter is very slow for the first 3/4 of the range the the last 1/4 it gets dark very quickly. This makes it very difficult to get an exact setting and if it was slightly moved by accident during focussing it made a big difference and would need to readjust it.The filter is well made and, for the price it’s good value.I returned the item purely due to the curve of the graduation, being too steep in the last 1/4. If that doesn’t bother you then it’s a good, well made filter.
