High quality everything when you buy Noctua
The media could not be loaded. Ordered a few 40x10mm PMW controlled fans to mess around with a few of our Xbox’s. With the proper splitter plugged into series s mobo to utilize stock fan and noctua fan everything works great! No usb wires all over the place which I love. Have purchases other noctua fans and heatsyncs for my PC but every time is just as good as the first! This 40x10mm pmw fan came with high quality 4 pin splitter cable, low noise adapter cable, 4pin extension cable, omnijoin adapter plug and 3m terminal connectors then mounting screws and rubber mounting darts. Spent the extra money and get you some noctua products you will not be disappointed!

Cools my m.2 NVMe drive
I already had a heatsink for my Samsung EVO 970 Plus NVMe SSD, but I wasn't happy with the temperatures so I bought this Noctua 40mm fan. Here are some numbers:Heatsink only:- Cold idle: 43deg C- Streaming 720p video from Youtube in Firefox: 50deg C- CrystalDiskMark 8 64GB speed test: 60deg CHeatsink and Noctua 40mm fan:- Cold idle: 41deg C- Streaming 720p video from Youtube in Firefox: 42-43deg C- CrystalDiskMark 8 64GB speed test: 52deg CNote that I actually had to go into the bios and REDUCE the fan speed because at idle it was keeping the NVMe drive below 40deg C. I have read a couple of sources that going below 40deg C on NVMe drives will actually reduce the lifespan of the drive. So if you wanted to, you could easily go below 40deg C with this Noctua fan. Mine was only spinning at 2,000 RPM and it was keeping the NVMe drive temps below 40deg C. Also, the fan is silent at the speeds I have ran it.

Practically noiseless. Could not be happier!
I never imagined there was any fan that could cool my Xeon D1521 while making almost no noise. Sure, there are tonnes of fans out there that are silent but are also crappy at cooling performance. My friend recommended me Noctua, and after installing it, I can tell that I never felt happier. It is practically noiseless (to me at least)!

Perfect for 3d printer!
There's a reason people use Noctua brand fans in their computers; they're quiet without sacrificing performance. After years of having Noctua fans in my computer, it was only natural that once I got a 3d printer and set it up in my bedroom, that the stock fans had to be upgraded. I don't have a decibel measuring tool but I don't need one to notice the clear difference. Also, the brown color has grown on me as many computer enthusiasts AND 3d printer enthusiasts regard the brown color on these fans as a "See? Look at how I made my thing better than it once was."

Move alot of air for being so small
Bought 3 of these to put in a bracket from etsy, as a case mod for the nzxt h1. They are all connected via 3 way splitter and the fans being pwm, i was able to set them to the same fan curve as gpu fans. 1 of the few 3080's that fit in the gen 1 nzxt h1 is the evga 3080 xc3 without any modifications. Put these fans as exhaust to pull the warm air out that the gpu produced while gaming. Temps under load dropped from 75c to 70c. Even when on 80% power, they are still quieter than the gpu fans at 50%. Wish they had a black fan option instead of just brown, but once the back perforated cover is on, you can barely see them. Nice upgrade without breaking the bank, and not having to change to a different pc case.

10mm of Quality Fan
Basically, if it is made by Noctua, it is made with quality. Even with this mini fan of 40mm you know the quality is there. Whether you like or dislike their unique brown/tan color combination these fans in any size are the Rolls-Royce of computer fans. They have yet to follow the ARGB trend and lit up their fans with ARGB but the builders who go overboard with the colored fans don't want anything to do with quality - they are only concerned with cheap!

As always, Noctua is the best!
Yep. Noctua wins again! For those not familiar with fans and their intricacies, smaller fans often tend to be louder than larger fans. Tiny tiny fans like those 40mm and under can be painfully annoying as the RPMs reach breakneck speed.Noctua managed to keep the hub size so tiny, that there is actually room for air to move through the fins, instead of squeezing through the gap between the hub and the shell. This prevents that painful “whizzing” noise heard on most small fans. The engineering behind doing that is tricker than it seems, but Noctua doesn’t disappoint. It is DEAD quiet and moves decent air for the little fella. Great addition for hobby projects and PC mods. And as always, Noctua includes every adapter and amenity under the sun. The convenience included is alone worth the price.Spend the bit extra couple dollars, your ears and components will thank you.
