If you are in an area with a lot of theft this is simply NOT going to cut it...there is just really no way to avoid a U-lock or something along those lines. That being said we got this as we wanted something without a key to help lock up our shed as we were simply sick of having to find a stupid key all the time. For us this will do. Our shed hasn't been locked at all in about a week, and it hasn't been disturbed, so a lightweight lock is about all we need. This fits that bill. The directions are easy to follow to reset the combo should you want to - even my 6 year old, who is learning to read (and yes, very smart with these kinds of things, but still 6), was able to figure out how to reset the combo, so....it is usable by just about anyone! We like this, and my husband has already put the second lock and the cable to use elsewhere. Good for any area where all you need is something that is simply a small deterrent. Cost effective for those situations, and EASY to use!

The cable lock with combo is pretty versatile. I included a picture with a pen so you can see how thin the cable is. This could go through a small hole in your helmet or other similar item, and the carabiner itself could also go through a slightly larger hole if you want to secure something that way. I'm sure someone could cut through the cable with the right tools, so I wouldn't use this to lock an expensive bike. "Heavy Duty" might be a bit of an exaggeration. But for smaller items this is small and light and enough deterrence to keep your stuff from getting taken. I'm honestly not sure of the point of the smaller bonus lock. It's pretty flimsy but perhaps at the gym it's just enough security to keep a locker safe from thieves. It was super easy to set a custom combo on both locks following the enclosed instructions. For the price, a good buy.

The lock looks the part. It is fully functional. The buckle is sturdy, but the lock mechanism feels like it can be broken pretty easily. It comes with a cable and a smaller lock. The cable is long and springy. So it will contract when not in use, which is nice for storage. The smaller lock it comes with would be good to use on luggage. Both the lock on the buckle and the smaller lock is easy to set new combinations. I would recommend this if you are looking for an inexpensive lock, as long as you don't need something super secure.

I thought I'm paying more than usual for a small lock. However, the part that I liked it was the wire that comes up to tie the wheel. The wire is not attached to the lock, meaning it's not molded, so you could use it elsewhere as well and not just one lock, you get two locks, one big and and small so definitely worth the money that you are paying for this. The bigger lock is a little shaky even though it's locked, but its working so it's fine for me.

While I love the larger lock (with the cable), the smaller lock is flimsy and not the same color as the cable lock. It's a baby blue color (at least mine is), not a turquoise blue like the other lock (bummer) and it sticks when trying to open it or turn the combination dial.

The small lock is useless, it does not close completely. The large lock works as intended.

Not much to say about this except for the fact that the small lock opens no problem but the large lock wouldn't even open on the factory code, so it doesn't even really do it's one job.

Perfect for locking saddle bags and seat post!
