Simple, inexpensive tool that perfectly does the job
Does what is needed. Nothing heavy duty or fancy required here; this plastic tool does the trick just fine.

Excellent Hollowtech II Crank Arm Tool
Was attempting my first try at replacing my old Claris 2400 Triple Crankset on a Octolink/Square to the newer Sora R3000 Triple Hollowtech Crankset. The Shimano Crank tool worked easily to install the "dust cap" on the non-drive crank arm. Just make sure to follow the given Shimano Crankset Installation manual. Do not over torque/tighten!

Does the job!
Not much to say other than can't beat the price and it does the job - makes taking a shimano crank on and off a piece of cake - used it for packing my bike in a travel bag to Europe - simpler than removing the chainrings.

Shimano Hollowtech II cap removal
4 stars because it does the job and the service from Niagara Cycle Works is great! I didn't give it 5 stars because I think it is a useless tool that Shimano makes the customers use. Other than that it's very durable. Other people say they don't like it because it's plastic. But to be honest, it doesn't really matter because you hardly use any force with this tool. So it wouldn't break anyway. If you need this tool to remove these type of cranks then get this one. I think the Shimano Hollowtech II series are the best and easiest to install, so if you're think about getting a new crankset then get one from Niagara Cycle Works.

Inexpensive solution that just works
The title says it all. You don't need a metal tool or anything more expensive than this. Worked great!

Wow so simple and yet so necessary
Best, easiest and most reliable way remove the fixing bolt on hollow tech crank arms. So simple and I'm almost befuddled that it's a plastic tool but the bolt that is tightens down is critical I've seen arms fall off before because someone didn't put the fixing bolt on. It provides just enough counterforce to keep the arms on.

This is the simple plastic tool that you DO NEED ...
This is the simple plastic tool that you DO NEED to remove your Shimano crank arm. It does work well. You don't have to search around for a random bolt head or Torx bit or ratchet to fit in the crank arm. So I guess for the low cost of buying this, you know it will be done quickly without damage to your crank arm splines.I bought this with out the BB Tool attached. So it was only a few bucks. But one day I suppose I will need that too. But I did not want to spend pay the cost for both right now.
