Nearly all the pieces requires to create a truly exceptional story house
What I liked most about the kit is that it came with general instructions and most of the stuff necessary to make a unique, one--off diorama. Working with all of the individual stones and tiles was a bit painstaking, but my grand daughter and I enjoyed working together over the two months it took to finish the house as shown. Because she wanted to use the house for play with some of her action figures, we constructed the left and center roofs using balsa wood and made them removeable. Same for the roof over the well. We did all of the antiquing with stain and latex paint. We had fun collecting rocks for the landscape! Our finished product does not look much like the picture on the top of the box - that's the best part of the kit. If you are wanting a simple, construct-by-numbers experience, this is not it.

Interesting way to occupy your time
At first I was frustrated because the instructions are very general and not detailed. Once you get it out of your head that you need labeled parts showing you where to put each piece and just start building it the way you want it to look it is easy and fun.
