The reason I bought this remote is because my dogs ate the original, I was worried when I bought this there would be a long tedious process to assign the remote to the TV. There is not. So 5 stars there. Plug in batteries and boom it's working.One complaint though... The power button only works for me to turn the TV off not on. So I have to press the button on the side of the TV before I sit down and hope I don't accidentally bump the power button.Also if I push the volume down button I have had this happen twice where it turns the volume up rather than down. Which is no biggie you just have to let off and try again and it gets it right.So 3 stars for that.Overall 4 stars. Great remote, no programming required but one or two kinks.

Didn’t take much to program to my Emerson HDTV. My kids lost the remote when we moved, but we’re back in business now. Thanks Amazon

bought this to replace my old remote ( still works but sound broke ) . This new remote works but the power button does not turn my tv on . It does turn it off tho .. go figure lol

Works like a charm. Needed it so that I could use my PS4. So, I'm very happy with this product. I use my Direct TV remote for everything else, but without this remote, my PS4 would b useless.

I love it. Don't have to get up and turn off tv.
