Just got it. So far, so good. Working as it should, and have not had any problems. I love the app that comes with it, and you can control so much with the app. Well worth the money!

What is important to know is that this router is super easy to connect and set up. I had ordered another router earlier and try as I might I could NOT get it to connect due to their servers not responding, etc. so it was a real pleasure to walk through the Nighthawk router setup with no glitches. All done in less than twenty minutes, which included connecting the tv, printer, and laptop. I’m hooked on Netgear!

Easy to install

Excellent Wi-Fi router for a small apartment to support up to >50 devices simultaneously. I had an old Wi-Fi 5 router that wasn't providing adequate bandwidth in the back of my apartment. After replacing it with this mini-powerhouse, my speeds went up significantly. Netgear is my preferred choice for home networking solutions and I'll continue buying since they are an American brand. This has all the features and security settings I needed to configure and protect my internal network.

Very slow updating of even the most basic settings in the router. I use a number of features like port forwarding, DynDNS for managing camera server etc. DynDNS gives an error on status but does appear to update. Router is very cheaply built compared to my prior NightHawk, this has the feel of a 60$ router, lightweight plastic no frills. Now for Pros: It has a 2.5 Gig port, for now I am content with speed of 1Gig for my family and on Wi-fi 5G got about 450mbps, since I use Unifi Mesh network I dont really need this routers wi-fi and disabled its 2.4Ghz transmitter. My old router also had the much better DumoOS, this one has a very basic look and feel but at same time not hard to navigate between basic and advanced settings. I would like it better if you could select Advanced and do all options from there, but you have to navigate between basic and advanced to get to specific config settings. For price not bad. The other thing I noticed is boot takes 2-4 min and until you hit about 4-5min you don't get full bandwidth, the CPU seems to get tied up on boot and briefly network performance will be degraded until it catches up. My old router stopped receiving firmware updates just 3 years after purchasing it, would be better if Netgear would provide 5-10 years of support on premium models like the nighthawk series. If I had to do it over would have gone with a different brand for this alone as well as the slow CPU performance. Expected more from a name brand like net gear. 150+ router in 2025 should have a smoking fast CPU and frankly I've had budget routers that felt more responsive with these quick config updates.

Easy to install and configure. The signal strength continues to be very good. My home network finally has the level of security that I have long desired. I no longer have to pay my ISP for rented equipment. I believe that this product is a good value for the money.

The set up was great, I downloaded an app before I disconnected my old router & the instructions were perfect for this old lady! My router is up & running & I couldn’t be happier! Simple & fast 💕💕💕💕
