The connections to the three battery terminals are different to my original Black & Decker battery. The voltages on the three terminals from left to right (beware, one of the Amazon pictures is reversed) are + / - / - whereas on my old battery they are + / - / +. My old B&D charger is very simple, has no LEDs and just the two pins (the + / - ) and so the third pin (right) is unused. My new battery charges OK on the old charger. I assume from other comments that some chargers use this third pin for overheating protection, in which case they won't work unless you make a wiring change inside the battery. For me, the battery is perfect.

Didn't have high expectations when i bought this but it's transformed the use of my drill.The new battery lasts much longer than the original Black & Decker ones ever did! The drill seems to produce more torque too so can actually use for the odd hole in walls or drilling metal.Shame they went out stock or i'd have bought another!

Very disappointed in this battery! It only held the initial charge and then failed! It was too late to return when I saw the bad reviews!Seeming it doesn’t work with B & D chargers!

Battery does not charge in black & decker charger. Charger is fine because using it for another battery. So basically can't use the battery. Very disappointed.
