Compact design. Comfortable fit. Affordable price.
I am very impressed with these earbuds. I want to start off by saying I own more than a few styles of earbuds and Bluetooth headphones. Some expensive, most on the cheaper side ($30-$50 range). I spend a decent amount of time hiking and biking when the weather permits. I feel a lot more comfortable losing or breaking a $30 pair of earbuds as opposed to $100 or $200 pair. The B1s are the first clip style I have ever owned. I was looking for some that had decent sound and fit comfortably enough that I could wear with moderate exercise and movement for at least a couple of hours. The B1 earbuds exceed expectations in those areas. They fit very comfortably with moderate to heavy movement. I don't think I'd wear them playing football, but for trail riding, jogging, and hiking, the B1s stayed in position without being overly tight.Connectivity was a breeze. They paired immediately with my iPhone. No interference or loss of connection, I have had with the more affordable earbuds. I accidently dropped the case a day after receiving the earbuds with no damage. They exceed my expectations in terms of durability and functionality. The sound they produce is more than enough for my needs. I have seen reviews of similar products where people complain about sound quality of the earbud style. The B1s have great sound quality for an earbud style. They are loud enough to eliminate all ambient noise if I want to turn them up and they don't irritate my ears. I honestly think I could have these in my ears for a good chunk of the day without really noticing them. Battery life is also quite good. I have never run out of battery life (most of my uses are 1-3 hours high volume). The last thing I want to highlight with these is the case. With previous styles, I haven't really cared much about the case size. I changed my mind with these. The case is super compact! Just slightly bigger than my key fob. I could keep these in my pocket and forget about them. Very well designed product. The B1s will be my primary music source for a long time.

Truefree B1 - A Bearded Review
Truefree B1 Review - A Bearded ReviewA no-nonsense review of the Truefree B1 on-ear headphoneFirst ImpressionThe look of these on-ear earphones is... Interesting. They aren't like your regular IEM (in-ear) or headphones (over-ear). These have speakers that point toward your hear canal but sit on your earlobe. There is absolutely no audio isolation with these. If the volume is high enough, others can hear your audio, albeit, it would not be distinguishable by others, but still, they can hear it. Obviously, if you reduce the volume, you'll still hear the audio without others eavesdropping or being annoyed.FeelI personally like how these feel on the ear. Headphones can feel heavy over time. Earbuds can be a pain in the ear. These just hang like clip-on earrings without the pinch. They have metallic shine on the speaker and touch ends with soft silicone connecting them. I don't see any reason why you couldn't wear these for hours, unless you just don't like the feel. A bonus if you wear glasses or hats, these do not interfere with either.AudioAudio Codec-wise, they only connect with SBC (non-HD) or AAC (HD). These are default BT audio codecs that nearly every audio BT device can connect with. These are not high definition codecs where you won't hear the specific instruments in an orchestra and other audio. With that, they sound decent, loud enough for normal phone calls, listening to music, or listening to audiobooks or whatever you want to listen to.EQ ControlThe EQ function worked well. While you won't get amazing bass, you do notice it is there and provide nice sound. I've set my EQ to Rock and it sounds good.Phone CallsAfter making a few phone calls, no issues were evident. No one complained about being about to hear me speak. I could hear them without issue as well.Truefree App InteractionThe Truefree app appeared to well with this set. Configuring the touch controls was easy and each touch function worked as you would expect. This is an improvement over some prior Truefree sets I've tested. With that, the touch pad on these is on the rear behind the ear. After getting used to the positioning, no issues with touch controls. My only suggestion is to instead have the touch controls on the inner ear section were the speaker is. Pressing the back of the set, pushing the earlobe moved the set and earlobe. It was fine, just felt uneasy if you aren't being careful. Moving the touch control to the inner part of the set would be more stable as the earlobe provides additional support.Battery LifeFirst opening and using these earphones, they started at about 86% and whilst typing this on my phone and listening to DOOM (2016) OST, Rebel Galaxy OST, making phone calls, and now listening to Brothers of Metal, they are now at about 70% battery life. 15% in about an hour or so isn't too bad.ConclusionI'm a fan of this form factor. They are comfortable without being overbearing, weighing your ears down, and can remain for a long time without pain. They won't fall off if you're banging your head, running, working out, etc.An improvement of the app with the earphones makes this set a reliable and dependable set to choose. If you want audio without the pain of IEMs or the bulk of over-ear headphones, this is a solid choice. In addition to the above, the price is right. Currently, they are $40 on Amazon.
