Buy this now!
After reading so many negative comments about these devices, I had waited and never purchased. All I can say is WOW. Wish I had bought when first purchased the car. It works better than cars that have wireless CarPlay built in. Super fast connection and works seamlessly. This might be the best $50ish investment you can make in your car. The convenience is unbeatable.

GMC Buyers beware with Gen 3 infotainment systems
Bought to eliminate using cable on my 2020 GMC Canyon. It works well except for the phone. If you have your iPhone connected to your infotainment system through Bluetooth and are connected to CarPlay through the dongle, you can make calls on phone with CarPlay but will not be able to answer calls. Sucks because if your connected through the cable, making and receiving calls are transferred to CarPlay and you have no trouble making and receiving calls. Excuse I got from tech support was to turn off infotainment system Bluetooth connection with phone. To me unacceptable. Dongle needs to be able to make this happen. Dongle should mimic the cable connection. Will still use with cable till I find a dongle that works like when your connected with cable and has GPS pass through. My main reason for purchase was for GPS pass-through so I don`t need to place phone on dash. That feature works. I see why this is returned a lot if you're a GMC owner with Gen3 infotainment system.

FINALLY...a CarPlay adapter that works!
I've tried about 4 other adapters and they have all been very unsatisfactory, between their slow and unreliable connections, and their large size, etc, just awful and so I stuck with wired. This adapter is convenient with the stick approach (instead of corded), which works well for my Tucson, and the speed and connectivity is excellent. I have zero lag, not a bit. So happy. And, call quality is clear as well.My only minor gripe is that there are zero instructions at all. Here is how you use it.1) plug it in2) connect to it via WiFi AND Bluetooth (you may need to forget your car's bluetooth connection or wifi). I believe it requires both WiFi and Bluetooth to work. This is after experimenting with turning off WiFi and while it worked, it didn't reconnect upon starting up again until I used WiFI also.3) pair it and authorize contacts (if you want) and authorize CarPlay. That seems to be it.

Think twice , I warned you
When you’re on a call and then connects to the car link , it doesn’t work. It glitches having you to hang up the phone call to then call back so it has to connect. Has some minor glitches , but when it’s connected it works . Just not all the time. So it’s annoying enough to buy a different one

2019 Lexus IS300
Doesn’t work with my 2019 Lexus IS 300. Also I recommend to check where your USB ports are located in your car. Mine are in the center console and if this is plugged in, the console armrest does not close.
