RingAutomotive 12N Smart Logic Bypass Relay: Controls Trailer Lighting Without Interfering With Vehicle Lights

I bought 2 of these lamp fittings because I needed one but they were cheap enough to make it worth my while having a spare. The simple fact is that I bought both of them for less than I could buy one in certain places. And they come with the bulbs too.They appear to be made of exactly the same materials, and are exactly the same size, as the one I am replacing on my lightboard. So either Ring are selling at a loss or others are making huge profits. Either way I will certainly know where to look first in future.

Product is good only reason for 4 and not 5, is just down to the poor wiring instructions. Although the relaity is you only have 2 wires to connect.Bright, sturdy & cost effective

I bought this for a slightly unusual purpose - it's to be the red "microphone live" light in a radio studio! It runs off 12 volts and draws a small current so is ideal for our purposes. Wired it in last night and it does the job a treat, this is one bit of the kit that I don't need a relay or mains wiring for.UPDATE - we've now bought a total of four of these (one inside and one outside for each of two studios). Each draws about 200 mA at 12v, in the old steam driven studio I can run it directly off the "red light" feed from the desk, in the new computerised one I will need to use a relay as the computer logic outputs only provide 5v at 100mA max. They do what's needed, that's the main thing.

My Transit van didn't have a third brake light, so I've been looking for a suitable lamp for quite a while. This really ticked the box. I know it's supposed to be a fog lamp but I have it mounted on the roof, so it isn't blinding the driver immediately behind me!My only gripe is the length of the leads - easily solved with a bit of soldering and heat shrink.

Cheap but a good design, the bulb contacts are springy and make good electrical contact. The light bulbs fit tightly in their holders, overall very good for the price.

Fitted this today to replace a broken fog light on my truck , had to build a bracket for it to screw onto but easily linked up to the existing wires I had from the previous one. Worth spending a little more for LED. Now brighter than ever and should pass the MOT fine

Used this lamp as fog light on an import. Did just the job but wasn't expecting it to be as bright as it is. It'll certainly be seen from a long way away. Flat fit to rear bumper, brilliant.
