The Essential Book of Koi: A Complete Guide to Keeping and Care

This book is definitely one to have alongside you whether you are just starting out keeping Koi, or are a long time hobbyist.The book is a result of the collaboration of a half dozen specialists. I found the Koi health section to be the best reference I have seen to date, and the section on Koi "Breeds" not only gave information about the different coloration's and breeds of Koi, but gave extensive information about the finer points of markings/patterns/colors for each of the different types of show quality koi and buying and showing them. Two thumbs up!!

First off, great low price for a nice quality, large, hard cover book. I used the "look inside" feature before purchasing, so I felt pretty confident that the book would be satisfactory. The format, writing, and images are superb, and I find myself reaching for this book as a reference with everything I encounter in my koi pond adventures. Learning about the history and the species has been fascinating, but when I had water issues and sick fish, the book was invaluable at helping me quickly identify the problems and recommending what to do to make things right. Overall, this book is genuinely just a great resource in a beautiful format.

If you have koi or are considering getting koi, then this book has everything you need to know about caring for your koi, including pond construction and care, filtration, feeding, identification, possible problems (parasites etc).... Pretty much everything. Highly recommended.

The book is very informative with lots of pictures. I liked it just fine and fit most of my immediate needs of beginning to raise koi and answering/finding a book for just about everything to do with them (and a little more). It will be a good reference in the future too.

Excellent koi book, but the Tetra book is better.

beautiful book, but this is not my go to book for answers to questions, don't expect this to be your "essential book". I am glad to have it in my collection, it does have useful information

My daughter recently had a backyard pond put it with Koi, and this book was very helpful.

Love it , it arrived in record time but I found to my horror that this book comes out with another name Koi and its the same contents as seen in this book just differing brand names i;e Interpet and TFH so save yourself a bob or two buy one or the otherDave B
