Self-Cleaning Litter Box, Open-Top Automatic Cat Litter Box, Easy Maintenance, with Built-in Safety Features and Odor Control

The media could not be loaded. It's hard to find a decent automatic litter box that's both effective and not a ridiculous amount of money. We had our previous automatic litter box for about 3 years, and while it worked "okay" it was a nightmare to clean. It also became an issue when the company decided to update the disposal tray design so now getting replacements is prohibitively expensive.I went with this model from Furoomatepet because I liked the open top design, the cost, and the ease of cleaning, as well as the waste box which just uses bags.The open top design has many advantages. It allows the unit to sit in a more compact space (it fits perfectly in the cubby closet in our utility room), it's significantly safer for the cat as there's almost no way for it to get trapped, and it makes removing the litter tub for cleaning much easier, which is also much easier than our previous machine, which required taking the unit almost completely apart. With this one you simply lift the tub out of the unit and slide the sifting tray off, which allows you to snap out the silicone liner. This makes it very easy to wash, and after a quick wipe down of the rest of the unit, it's back together and ready to go in no time.The other huge factors were the waste bin design and the cost effectiveness of the unit. The waste bin slides out from the bottom and is lined with an elongated trash bag, which can be purchased online for significantly less than the containers of our old unit. In a pinch a standard litter pan bag can be used as well, and the tray includes a small area for an odor eliminator. As for the cost, the unit itself is priced very competitively, but when you factor in the ability to use many different types of litter (many units require specific types) and simple bags for the waste, the over time cost is a fraction of what we were paying before.There's not much negative to say about this unit at all really, so far it's been working perfectly and has been a massive upgrade for us!

It wastes so much litter unlike what everybody says the cats have not gone in it and it’s on automatic and there’s so much litter that just keeps on going in the tray I do not recommend getting this .I don’t know how I’m gonna return it. It can be removed effortlessly, making it incredibly convenient to clean and maintain. No more struggling with hard-to-reach corners!• Impressive Safety Features: The litter box has a total of four sensors around the machine, which ensures the safety of my cats. It stops immediately if it detects any movement nearby, which gives me peace of mind.Cons:• No Phone App: Unfortunately, this model doesn’t come with a companion app, which may be a drawback for some. All the operations are handled either automatically or manually, which can be limiting if you’re used to controlling gadgets through your phone.• Overly Cautious Sensors: While the safety sensors are effective, they are almost too effective. If you have curious cats like mine, it can take up to 15 minutes to complete a single cleaning cycle. The machine pauses at the slightest movement, which can be frustrating if your cats are the exploring type.Overall:This automatic cat litter box is a solid choice if you value ease of use and safety. It’s well-built, simple to maintain, and ensures that your cats are never at risk during operation. However, if you’re looking for smart features like app connectivity or if your cats are particularly curious, you might find the safety pauses a bit too cautious. Despite these minor inconveniences, it’s a reliable and convenient option for keeping the litter area clean with minimal effort.

They come out eventually or you could clean them if you choose.Sometimes it dumps some litter in floor (possibly due to what is listed above or if you use too much liter) I just did simple sweep up with a broom which I do anyway.Liter gets in the floor around the area from the cats paws. I could probably get a liter Mat to resolve this but haven’t yet.Overall I very happy with this & would highly recommend!
