Meross replacement
As many others have mentioned, the Meross plugs have issues, that firmware updates have attempted and failed to address. Interestingly these legrand plugs are smaller in size (squaring up with the leading edge of a decora faceplate and not overlapping) yet have identical electrical ratings and certification, the same weight (while being smaller, which indicates thicker plastic or heavier components, implied by the heartier but still soft click of the relay) and do not suffer from the chronic disconnect issues plaguing Meross. My router indicates the signal quality to the legrand outlets is substantially better than the Meross, in the same outlet, tested individually, the legrand measured -67 and the Meross -74. While neither of these values are great, the difference is quite large all things considered. The only notable downsize to these legrand outlets is the 'control' app (which you don't need and I recommend you don't bother with) because it doesn't support these outlets without a Netatmo or rebranded legrand hub. I suspect legrand partnered with netatmo to develope these outlets as they appear identical to the netatmo's. The reason I consider this a downside is there is no way to update the firmware if a security exploit is discovered, but I suspect if it is that critical they will allow the app to discover devices on a network without requiring a hub. I mean hey, I've been through 3 firmware updates on the Meross plugs over the last 2 years and they haven't really made a difference whatsoever.Overall this is an obvious no brainer. They were a cinch to add as a HomeKit device and have functioned perfectly for 3 weeks.

An "A Class" product that's easy to install and high quality!!
Any "Smart" product I purchase has to be easy, easy, easy ~ truly plug 'n play and with good reviews. These Legrand Smart Plugs certainly do just that and more. I'm certainly no techie but I do know how to follow instructions. I don't know how I missed it the first time around but my suggestion to Legrand is to make sure the 1st priority when activating is to keep your Alexa device, phone and the plug as close together as possible. The 1st plug went fine, but the 2nd and 3rd were a bit problematic, but I now know that was my fault for being too far away from Alexa. Once I got very close to her (Alexa) again, everything was a breeze. Nice to know that even when I'm away I can keep my home "lived" in by turning on night lights. Don't hesitate to purchase, these plugs are well worth the money not just for ease in installation but also for the feeling of security, as in my case.

1-week in all good 👍
One week in and the Legrand Radiant Matter plug works great. Keep in mind you need to have a Matter hub. Google "matter hub" to find out what those are if you use Google, Amazon, or Apple smart home ecosystem. I have a 2nd Gen Google(Nest) Home Hub display. The plug has worked every time I've needed it to and not gone offline once yet.Only issue is that it took 3 tries to get it setup in the Google Home app, maybe because I was too far initially from my router. But on the 3 try I set it up in the same room as my router. So far it's working well as I'm looking to get off Tuya/Smart Life plugs for Matter and Matter over Thread devices.

Didn’t work for me….
Got one and it connected to HomeKit very well. Was super impressed for about 10 minutes. Then the plug would just say no response and it would do the same thing even after removing and adding to Apple home again. Sent it back and got a replacement. Only for exact same thing to happen. Will not being trying them again. Also I do have two Meross plugs and both of those work great for a month now!

Small Profile - Easy Setup with my Echo. Responsive
I've been a smart plug user since the first WeMo devices that were bigger than a standard outlet. Good to see these smaller ones. I have an Amazon Basics one (bottom outlet of comparison photo) and found it to be on the larger side, especially when I have them plugged into outlet strips. For the Amazon one and my old WeMo ones I had small extension cords coming from my outlet strips. Didn't need it with this one. Using these for my bedroom lamps and some window fans to run on schedules in Alexa.I did the auto pair with Alexa during checkout and my Echo immediately detected it when I plugged it in. I thought that was only available on Amazon Basics so nice to see it available here. It does require a matter controller though, there's no manufacturer app associated with this product so you need to have a Matter controller. Which is fine since I think most Echos have been for quite some time but that's different than TP Link and other brands. Although seems to be very snappy to respond to my voice compared to my older WeMo products. So swapping all those out soonAs a renter I can't do the light switches, so having to rely on lamp mostly. Better than smart bulbs unless you want color changing lamps.

simple, Matter-thread plug
this item is what other "smart" plugs should be... just a little dumb. You don't need to download yet another app to use them. Just scan the QR code from your Matter software (e.g. Apple Home) and it loads up pronto. No fuss. I would place a bet that this company will screw this up at some point and make you use the app to activate it, but for now, it works great!

Great Smart Plug
Extremely easy to setup (I use mine with Google Home), very reliable, and no third party app.
