I ordered a total of 3 vest and we are extremely satisfied, The dogs are comfortable , the are made well and they are sturdy. Would recommend.

This product is a great buy! I have had it for a few months now and I have a boxer who tends to be very hard on things, this is held up to his test!

The front chest strap seems to sag most of the time.

My pup uses a heavy leather mobility harness when I know I need extra help with counterbalance or momentum pulling, but I ordered this for days when I need him mostly for medical alert instead, or for days that are just to hot for it. This harness will suit my needs adequately for those “light duty” days.The bridge handle was disappointing, though… The handle itself is well made, comfortable, and sturdy — but it has the chintziest, lightest weight, poorest quality snaps to attach to the harness. Even if not used for counterbalance and only as an extra method of controlling my dog, I would NEVER trust it to restrain any dog large enough to wear this harness. I’ve removed the snaps and am replacing them with good quality stainless steel ones instead — as should have been on it in the first place. I’m very disappointed, as I’d always heard ActiveDogs was a good company who provided great quality at a reasonable price. I would happily have paid a little more for something useful without me having to renovate it!

Added info: It's been almost a year of hard use and this vest and handle are still going strong. He fills it out more now than he did a year ago but it's still comfortable and just snug enough to be great for mobility work.This is a nice combination for a service dog. My dog is a lab/dane cross and difficult to fit properly in almost everything. He sits right in that spot between L and XL. We figured we'd try the large and exchange it if he needed it bigger. The large does well and gives a bit of extra room if he puts on a pound or too. He is a diabetes alert, PTSD and mobility dog. His last vest that we wore out didn't have the extra handle and it worked ok but the bridge handle makes it much more comfortable for both of us. I think because we will wear it possibly more than most we'll probably add a bit of fleece around the straps. They're perfectly serviceable as is but my boy has really sensitive skin so it'll just make it a bit more comfortable for him. When I bought it I was concerned that the hardware looked like it was plastic and it might not be as durable as the last one we had. When it arrived though it was all metal except the tummy buckle. Our old one had a lock on it and this one doesn't but it closes solidly so I'm not too concerned. We wont use the card thing but the actual cards are nice. We don't run into access problems often, but I like having something with me that has the ADA information on it just in case, it just makes things simpler. It helps that my boy is a professional. He does look handsome in the bright red against his black fur. I loved the fact that our old service dog patches also fit this vest so we can use the old beat up ones when we're doing things that will be hard on them and save the pretty new ones for occasions we want to look nicer. The material on this vest is very easily cleaned which I love. If you have a genuine service dog I recommend this highly. If not leave your dog at home.

light weight and unsure how long it will hold up. 4 stars on the sturdiness because of that. Compfy on the dog. Can add to this after we use it for awhile. Hope it will be durable despite the light weight.
