I probably spent close to 3 days reading reviews, tech specs and overall customer satisfaction about this speaker, so when I finally took the plunge, I was extremely satisfied and still am.The amount of power this speaker outputs is simply amazing and hard to believe. You get a deep, warmth sound, punchy bass and well balanced mids and highs. I tested it with a variety of sound genres, from rap to techno to acoustics; all sound amazing. (Lee Dewyze's "Black Bird Song" from TWD sounds amazing)At $250, you get the speaker of course, wall charger, cradle and travel bag; you can charge the speaker directly with the wall charger or plug the charger into the cradle and place the speaker on it. It also has a 3.5mm jack for devices that do not support blue tooth, at the bottom of the unit, you'll find a charging connector for the cradle and micro USB port, which is meant for and only for software updates.You can pair multiple Blue-Tooth enabled devices, but in order to switch from one to the other, you have to go to the device Blue-Tooth settings and ask it to connect to the Bose.Unlike other speakers at this price range, this one lacks NFC (Near Field Communication) which allows users to simply tap the devices with each other, for instant communication. But again, I listened to other speakers at this price range (yes the Pill as well) and none had near the sound clarity, bass and power the Bose has. At max volume levels, the Bose did not distort sound at all, which is something the competitors suffer from.The build quality is as good as its sound.The shell is made of aluminum, the buttons are rubber and very responsive, underneath the unit, you'll find a rubber pad, which works as a tiny stand, but also houses the battery. The uni has its weight, but it's not too heavy and only adds to its overall sturdy feel; this unit is built well and made to last.As for battery life, I've gotten about 7.5 hours at mid to high volume levels. Charging takes about 3 hours, but as I mentioned above, the wall charger fits perfectly in the front pocket of the travel bag, so charging the speaker on the go, shouldn't be a problem.Signal range is also amazing, rated at 30 feet, I did not experience any interference, even with walls.The travel bag is simply perfect; the front pocket is meant for the wall charger and does a great job at keeping it safe. The main compartment houses the speaker, which can be stored with or without the Bose official sleeve.Nothing more to say really, trust me when I say this, you won't be disappointed with this speaker. I did hours upon hours of research, demo testing, etc., and can honestly tell you, this is probably the best speaker you'll ever own.FINAL NOTE ABOUT AUTHORIZED RE-SELLERS.Be very careful when buying Bose or any other brand for that matter. They will NOT honor any warranty, unless you purchase the item directly from them or an AUTHORIZED re-seller. I bought mine from Huppin's (fulfilled by Amazon). Impressive. I didn't use to like Bose...have you noticed that they never share any specifications so you can comparison shop?They have really started to impress me in the last few years. Great for travel and the beach...just keep it in a pack to help keep the sand off. You will be surprised that you still have to turn it down even at the beach with wind and wave noises. On second thought...maybe you wanted to hear those noises (grin)...in which case this would be a bad product for you.Anyhow...get the protective case. Great product.

Just Amazing! It's unbelievably powerful, given the size it has. It's like a leopard under cat's clothing . I bought soundlink-3 assuming it will be even better, but not so impressed, was expecting more in terms of design and output. Soundlink 3 battery backup is better, and sound quality is as good (or maybe a point lower, you won't notice), no qualms, but I love the base which mini produces, maybe it's the shape. Anyway, both of them are a great purchase, all the best!

My husband asked for a different one, but I bought this one for him instead due to better reviews. He is very happy with it and said he is very glad he has this one rather than the other one. I like the sound as well. My only complaint is the loud beeping letting you know when the Bluetooth connects.

The sound quality is neat and clean. Bluetooth connects automatically, and pairing it was not an issue even when changing from Apple to Android products. Don't let yourself fool by the size of the speakers, they make a lot of quality noise. The case fits perfectly and protects the edges of the speaker. The traveler bag fits perfectly even when the speaker has the dock on it, a very good and protective material.Great purchase for the size and sound.

Absolutely love my speaker. I run a women's group and I use it while everyone is arriving. I take it with me when I go to gatherings in case we need music. Great volume, great sound. Everyone compliments it. I brought it to our kids house (age 26 & 27) and my son-in-law loved it and bought one.

As an audiophile, I had to return the Cambridge oontz angle plus and pay quite a bit more for this unit. The first time I turned it on and used an auxiliary cable, I decided it was worth every penny based on sound quality. You will be amazed at the bass, given how small the speaker is.
