Does the CFX3 45L generate much heat when it's running?

Is it better to keep the unit plugged in and running or can it set idle for long periods. Looking at what’s better long term.

i do not run my unit unless I am using it on a camping trip, or to keep extra beer cold at home. This is only an opinion, but I suspect the unit will run longer without failure if it is used intermittently vs continuously

Does dometic warranty work if purchased from this Amazon seller?

I don’t know of any reason why the warranty wouldn’t be good. The warranty comes from Dometic and you would deal with them directly.
