Output shut off after several days of Operation.
After several days to a week of being on, the output shut off. Unplugged for 30 seconds, relocated and reconnected to regain output. This may have been due to the unit over heating. There are no ventilation perforations in the case. During operation I experienced intermittent blanking of the video and audio on one of my HDTV Tx/Rx systems when connecting the Splitter to my receiver. When I connected the Splitter directly to the HDTV Tx/Rx system there was only noise on the Audio channel.I did order a different Splitter and experienced audio dropping out on living room TV and the same HDTV Tx/Rx system.I solved all the audio/video issues by switching the power source of the Spitter from a surge protection power strip to direct connection to house power.I believe the capacitors and inductors, that are frequency sensitive devices in the surge protection circuit, passed HDTV and audio frequencies from the Splitter to ground, degrading the signal to any device attached to it.
