Power Inspired 12Vdc Router (UPS) Uninterruptible Power Supply

I bought this five years ago and it's still working well. It has kept my Internet access up for tablets during most power cuts (very few are more than 10-20 minutes and most are just a minute or two). I have had to replace the rechargeable battery once when it got too old to hold a charge for very long.

Finding a DC output UPS has been difficult. I can't understand why they're so difficult to find. I have a number of items that require 12V or USB power, so why aren't there more of these?.. even better, why can't I find one with multiple DC outputs?I live out in the countryside where we experience fairly frequent brown-outs. It's annoying because this kills the broadband router, which takes 5-7 minutes to restart. This device replaces your original broadband router power supply completely. It has a rechargeable battery inside and quick change-over when the power fails. My router has not noticed the on-going brown-outs.I now need something similar for a Raspberry PI but with USB 5V/3A output. Hard turn-offs (like a brown-out) corrupt the SD card where the OS is stored.

Excellent small UPS, hardly takes any more room than the original power adaptor. I use it on my wireless access points and network switches and it keeps things running happily through the momentary glitches and short outages to supply we keep getting. Only outputs 12v, but does come with a few different connectors.

Dangerous. Do not buy. Literally plugged it in and this is what happened. Scary as my little one was nearby.

This unit seems to do exactly what the maker promises it will do. At the price it is excellent insurance against power problems and will keep an efficient router working for at least an hour. Make sure your router runs on 12V - some seem to need 18V.

Already given me Internet through two power cuts and three breaker blows. Had to splice the cable to fit a new connector so if you're not confident with electrics/soldering - get the splice kit too.

Arrived quickly. Works as expected with my superhub router, rated at 12V 1.5A. It had the correct plug to be a straight swap with the original adaptor. It gives it over half an hour back up when the power is off.

Works great,, it's protects my Draytek 2850 from power cuts, not sure how long the battery would last...
