Great addition to the series. Made me want a sequel immediately
Gameplay is smooth and dynamic, interesting range of companions, cool to see decisions of DA Inquisition flow through. Story explains a lot of the grand lore (gods, titans, the blight etc)

Bioware at their peak
Game is incredible. I put 67 hours into it- this might be recency bias but I honestly think it’s one of the best action RPG’s I’ve played in my entire life. They really messed up the marketing for this game, it’s a shame. Choices you make have a real impact, the combat is perfect, the level of customization for difficulty us great. Could not recommend this more.

DA:V - It's good. Really good.
Maybe closer to 4.5 than 5. The game isn't perfect but it's VERY good. If you like DA games, they deliver here. The story is well written, the characters are engaging. Inventory management is a thing of the past and there are some other nicities. For a real complete playthrough you are talking just shy of 100 hours of game play.

Absolutely love this game!
The combat is of the best I've experienced - very seamless. I love how each character lacks perfection, and the character development throughout. And of course, Varric!

Level 50 bosses for level 16 players
This game would be great if it would stop throwing impossible bosses. They tried to copy Elden ring which is a poorly designed combat engine that misguided gamers think is just the game being difficult, no it’s just bad coding. Sadly now all game companies follow Elden ring and thing just because a game is unbeatable that is what makes it good. Also the bosses leave the npc’s alone and target you so you don’t get a hit in and you play the dodge game instead. Like wow so fun.

Im 2 hours in and Im a little bored. Look, the voice acting is amazing, the character and world design is peek and it had the basis for a really really good story but my main issue with this game is that they don't do any world building. I feel like typically for these kinds of games when they say to explore an area or anything like that they usually have books or NPCs or someone to give you supplementary information about the game and it's world but this game has zero of that the only time you get any extra information is when you come across a major part of the game that the game wants to give you a little extra information on. Like when you first get to your Hub area or the lighthouse. You get a little information about the mirror that you travel through that was left by stolas and then other than that the area was very very empty with nothing to do. Yes there was an optional part of the quest where you can talk to your two teammates before moving on but there wasn't anything else that added to the story. With all the books lying around and Scrolls I would have expected to be able to read something on my own about the world or about what stolas was doing there on his own but the game literally gives you none of that making the game feel so EMPTY. The upside is that the easy mode that says you're here for pretty much just the story and makes combat very easy is truly the easiest mode I've ever played and it's almost dumb and how easy it is. The upside I absolutely love the combat and I think that's super fun. And I don't know if it was just me and the fact that my game was still partially downloading when I was in creating your character mode but there is minimal customization for your character I'm actually pretty confused? Basically all I had were presets?? There was so little customization that I don't think it was even worth it for them to give you the option? I don't know I came from the game Dragon Age Inquisition loving that game and going from that game to this game it just feels like it's so empty and so far all the quest is go from point A to point B and maybe fight a couple enemies along the way but usually it's just talking to people and I'm really hoping it builds up but it's been 2 hours and my hopes are starting to drop.

Death of a franchise.
Waited 10 years for this. The only positive for this game is that it is functional, without any game breaking glitches at launch. Just play the first one and forget about the sequels.

Boring…
I wanted to like this game. But I found myself so bored with it I quit playing after a few days.l and maybe 5 hours of play. I was a fan of the other Dragon Age games so I thought this one would be a no brainer when it came out. But it pretty much all around disappointed me. The story is dull, the graphics aren’t as good as they should be on a system as strong as the PS5, and the free-roaming, open world of inquisition has been ditched for a linear, “go from point A to point B and fight monsters” type game. If you want an all around better fantasy adventure, get Dragons Dogma II. Much better game.
