Hot chocolate in bulk
I purchased this after our other hot chocolate maker stopped working. What sold me on it was that it can make multiple cups at once, unlike the other models we saw on Amazon. We have three kids. So, when one wants hot chocolate, they all end up wanting some. Also, the retro design and the self-serve spout that is great for our younger kids.I appreciated how the unit came out of the box ready to use. There was no putting anything together. Just wipe down, plug in, fill, and turn on. The maker is also super easy to clean, and there is a spot on the bottom of the unit to wind and store the cord.Like some of the other reviews stated, this hot chocolate maker is somewhat noisy. It definitely makes more noise than the other hot chocolate makers we have had. I also wish there was a heating element that stayed on without having to have the frother running, so that the hot chocolate would stay warm after it is done mixing. Lastly, you have to manually shut off the frother after a few minutes. Unlike with other units we've had, this one does not stop frothing on its own after a few minutes and the manual warns against letting it mix for more than about five minutes.Overall, we like this hot chocolate maker. It gets the job done.

Don’t let the size fool you! It’s an amazing product
It’s small and a little loud but does an amazing job, it’s quick on heating up and makes magical moments for the kids, it’s very practical to clean up and easy to put put together and put away. I got 4 of these items and love them as gifts too. It’s worth buying multiple ones for large parties and have multiple stations to help the traffic of people making a line

Great until it melted...
I had one of these 20 years ago. Back then, the top didn't come off and they were super hard to clean. I bought this one because we lost the old one in a move long ago. It was GREAT the first two times I used it. But on the third time, after about 8 or 9 minutes, I started smelling "burning plastic." I was in the other room (about 8 feet away with an open door) and ran out to unplug it. I couldn't figure out what was burning. I thought at first it hadn't mixed the chocolate well and some had ended up on the heating plate.I was wrong.I emptied the hot chocolate (which was way hotter than usual), then added cold water to the pitcher so I could cool down the hot plate. While doing that, I happened to notice the frother blade was loose. When I wiggled it a bit, the hardware holding it in on the underside fell off into the sink. I realized then that the plastic around that had melted and burned.I loved it while it lasted. They tell you not to keep it on more than 15 minutes, and I would advise far less. The first two times I used it, it took about 12 minutes to heat my hot chocolate to a comfortable, drinkable level. But the third, after 8 minutes, it was way too hot and the underside melted.I'm sure this is an infrequent thing, as the reviews are still great. But take this review as a cautionary tale to be careful with it. Even if you're following the directions to the letter...things can go wrong.

Just buy it!
I'm confused by this product only have 4.3 stars. I would give it 10 if I could! We have discovered cocoa and so we use this baby two to three times per day and it works perfectly every time! I thought because it was just a very basic machine that it wouldn't work wonderful but I was wrong. It heats quickly and never leaves clumps in the powder (sometimes we add other powders such as collagen) and never an issue. It is simple but does exactly what we need and has lasted us a long time now. We kept thinking because of how little we paid for it that it wouldn't last so long but it's still going strong! Love it! The only tiny nit picky thing we would suggest is a way for the top to come apart for easier cleaning, however, maybe that would cause other problems like leaks. If you're hesitating just buy it - you'll thank me later. I'm giving one of these with raw cocoa for Christmas gifts this year!

Not what I expected
I have a CocoaMotion machine and I love it. However, it does not have a removable pitcher. This does, so I thought it would make the perfect machine. Nope! This machine does not automatically turn off when it is hot, so you have to guess when it is ready. I kept touching the side of the pitcher. It took forever! My other machine was about 3 or 4 minutes for nice, hot chai tea. This took 15 minutes and still wasn't as hot as I like. Also, my other machine put a nice froth on top. This one didn't have any froth. Very disappointed! I had bought one for my daughter for Christmas. I think I'm going to send it back.

Best for price, excellent for Christmas
This product lasts about 2.5 yrs with seasonal use. This is the 3rd time we’ve gotten this product. All of them will get a residual gunk over the heating element after each use and you need to be sure to clean under the silicone or it will start to get mold under the seal. Buying some dish detail cleaners is all you need to clean it. It is loud but it does the job and doesn’t bust the bank. To make our hot chocolate we put in milk and add whatever chocolate we have on hand. Usually it’s just a handful of chocolate chips, but during Christmas or other holidays just throw all that crap chocolate you get in and turn it on. It’s delicious! Best way to use it!
