Pentair27002-0150S Filter Module Replacement Sta-Rite Pool and Spa D.E. Filter

The filter is as advertised. The only part I was kind of surprised about is the strip that goes around the center to hold all the folds tight and together started coming off within a couple days of running the filter. That’s on the manufacturer though not the seller.

These cartridge filters seem WAY OVER PRICED to me, but such is life under a socialist government. I couldn't possibly tell you what I think about it for at least a year from now, but if I must say something, here you go. It doesn't seem to "fit" the way the last one did. In fact, it doesn't feel like it is actually tight over the outlet hole. However, there are no obvious leaks and everything seems OK, so for now, I can say all appears well. I am Truthman, hear me roar!

I purchased the Pentair 150 Sq-Ft Replacement Filter Module - 27002-0150S Filter on August 2022 to replace this Spring and yesterday I tried to install and unfortunately to my surprise it did not fit onto the bottom housing. The seller lists as a Genuine Pentair Replacement Part Fits Model PLM150. However this is not accurate. After reading some reviews to investigate further I read several other comments that they had similar problems and one noted that there is a bad batch of filters that were not manufactured as an exact Genuine Pentair Replacement Part such as the one I received that was manufactured 10/11/21 . I reached out to the seller for replacement and have not heard anything back as of yet as I would expect to get a replacement especially at this high price.

After living with terribly alkaline, rusty well water I have a set protocol;I use a new Eco One hose filter on hose and get the water where I need to to be. I brush the walls and vacuum the bottom. I have a vinyl pool liner. Then I shock the pool and add Bioguard pool opener. I use everything according to manufacturers directions. The next day I vacuum again. At this point I remove and power wash my filter on washer’s lowest setting. Put it all back together and I’m good to go. It’s all been less expensive Amazon. Then I just shock and vacuum as needed especially after a storm or after adding water. Clean and sparkly.

Needed a replacement for our old pool filter. This one is a perfect match.

Delivery was quick, as adertised. Perfect fit. the only down side is the price.

My pool is up and running! Amazon came through as all pool dealers in area are still waiting for this product from their supplier.
