A blow by blow walk through the principles and protocols of VHF communication - simple enough for anyone to grasp, but complete.

This book is very clear, with nice examples that cover all possible situations on the water, the graphics are well done and it's printed on high quality glossy paper. It has helped me pass the licence exam, good to have for quick reference too.

This is just what you need to prepare for the SRC exam. Well written and concise it is easy to read and covers the syllabus comprehensively. Just a pity that it doesn't include a couple of mock exam papers, or at least specimen questions at the end of each section, which would allow one to check ones progress.

Husband needed this to do VHF radio course online before taking our newly acquired boat further afield. The course refers to the book so necessity and also useful for reference now course completed.

Useful book if you want to use your VHF properly.

Let's face it, most sailing books are a tad expensive, and RYA books more expensive than most - considering what you get. This doesn't necessarily mean that they are badly written or laid out; but I tend to look cheaper alternatives first.
