Restores, preserves and protects.
My 14 year old son has unusual taste for a boy his age. He says modern furniture has no class, and wanted something with a bit of style for his birthday.Unfortunately, my budget doesn't match his tatse. We were able to find a beautiful knee hole Victorian desk at a bargain price but the finish was pretty bad. My husband had planned to send and refinish it, but having use this before, I thought we may as well give it a try first. The wood was quite dry , so it took over half a bottle, it just seemed to drink the stuff in. But when it was finished, it looked much better than it would have if we had stripped and refinished it. It looks just like it must have brand new.It won't fix every stain, and it won't work if the original finish is flaking off, but this little bottle really work miracles with old wood .It does leave a slightly greasy residue if you don't carefully polish it off with a clean cloth, and may stain things like cookies or table cloths, so either let it dry uncovered for a couple of hours or go over carefully with a clean cotton cloth after applying. Some items will take several coats, and this is a small bottle. A very large table might need more than one bottle. Also, I have found this works better on old wood. Modern finishes can repel this.It does make cuts and scratches less visible, but it won't fill them in.Finally this is very dark and it doesn't ever completely come off. I really wish they made this in more colours, but I like dark walnut. Used in a light finished wood it can leave a dirty look instead of an even brown. He sure to test the liquid on a less.visible part of the wood if using on anything but very dark brown wood.

Worked on dark wooden floor to hide trapped paint dust
I bought this to restore the lustre to my hardwood floor. After doing some DIY, fine white paint dust had found its way between the grains, and wouldn't wash out. This worked to tint them darker, as well as restore the flooring to as new condition. Floor is engineered wood, and I believe was originally coated in polyurethane lacquer. It's not clear if this product has had any effect on the wood itself, other than a glossy coat of oil, but it does seem to have tinted and disguised the trapped dust and micro scratches well.Photo attached for comparison.

Looks great for a few days.
Used this on my kitchen walnut worktop. Easy to apply, just don’t chuck any rags you use to apply it into the washing machine with anything else!!!! I learned that the hard way. Looks absolutely beautiful when first applied but doesn’t last long at all. Within just a few days it had all rubbed off. Expensive for such a temporary effect.

THANKS TO PLEDGE, THE FAMILY PIANO HAS BEEN RESTORED TO ITS FORMER GLORY!
Some years ago I inherited the family piano which has been stored in a corner of my garage every since. Having now reorganised everything in the garage, the piano is taking pride of place and in a position where I can actually sit down and play it. The woodwork had become very dull over the years so I bought the Pledge Scratch & Colour Restorer in the hope of bringing it back to its former glory. The result was simply amazing. It has now been restored to its rich dark brown colour and looks simply wonderful.

Does a decent job
Overall this is a good procur that successfully improves the appearance of scratched and damaged wood. The only difficulty is finding a product that's the right colour, but like I say our table looks better than it did before.
