Rabbit (Four Point Universe Book 3)

Sexy, funny, genuine.
Solid story and great characters, all anchored with realistic elements. A lot of lesfic makes a light pass over difficult subjects, but the 4Pt Universe stories grab hold firmly, so the story stays real rather than sliding into angsty puff. Sexy, funny, genuine. Still wish the overuse of 'around her/my/the middle' would stop, but the writing otherwise has some beautiful phrasing.

fall down the rabbit hole.
This is a mother great book by Max. It brings back some of the characters from the four point universe but introduces some new folks as well. You will fall in love with Alice and Stella too!

Love Four Point Universe
Allie and Stella are two new characters introduced to us in Rabbit. Their story was filled with emotions as the two women learned how to open their hearts. The depth of the emotions experienced by both women was something not often seen in romance novels.

Less crime more romance
There is a lot less criminal fiction than the last two books of the series. The romantic connection between Allie and Stella is very good. Of course, it is not without angst.I only gave four stars because Allie got on my nerves a few times. She acted like she really trusted Butler, I'm not sure why or how anyone would trust someone who acted the way he did. Her outbursts made her seem like a spoiled teenager. The only notable appearance from the Trilogy was Walsh and a very brief appearance from Stiles.I'm debating on whether or not to read Book 4.

Blown away
This is the first book I have read by this author. I wasn't grabbed by the title or the cover. I actually checked this book out because I read a book review on it that popped up on my Twitter feed. The feedback was really positive, and since it was available on Kindle Unlimited I figured I may as well check it out because I wouldn't be out anything if it wasn't that good.I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed the banter between Alice and her friends and family in the beginning. Something about the dialogue and the way the author set the story really piqued my interest and got me hooked in the beginning. Then when Alice and Stella started to get to know each other, I literally couldn't put the book down. Combine their vulnerabilities with the action in the surrounding story and this was a real page turner. I found parts of the story to be laugh out loud funny, other parts were arousing, and there were a few spots I shed a couple tears. The development and growth of the relationship between the two main characters was absolutely beautiful, especially the way they nurtured each other. This turned out to be one of the best books I've read recently and I will be purchasing it to keep and reread.Do yourself a favor and read this book!

Very Satisfying Romance
I so enjoyed this traditional romance and it's the first book I've read by this author. Both Alice and Stella are very likable and I thought their chemistry was truly believable. They start out tentatively getting to know each other and slowly progress to a deeper relationship. Their back stories are very different yet wonderfully poignant. I got very caught up with Stella's story and became very invested in her future. The writing is lovely. The dialogue is serious and endearing one moment and then witty and laugh out loud funny the next. The plot also moves at a nice pace. It's not an insta-romance which I really appreciated. Ellendale takes the time to have these women work for their happily ever after. There is just enough angst to make me grab for a few tissues here and there. This was a fantastic read and one of my favorite romances I've read in the last several months.

This is a favorite
Maggie and Sali will always be my favorite but this comes in at a close second. I loved this story every second of it. I’m also glad it stayed in the same universe but didn’t continue to beat a dead horse. I’m sad to leave the world of Alice and Dr. Corwin. However, I loved the epilogue. It left me very satisfied.

Has a lot of depth
I’m not sure how the author conveys such a wide range of characters, allowing for unique reading experience, but I’m here for it. There is a lot of depth and pain in this one, but also beauty and balance. It’s a lovely story that established a great foundation between the characters. I’ll now have to check if Ainsley and Jordan get their story.

Enjoyable
I enjoyed this instalment into the four point standalone series at this point there is little reference made to the original characters and whilst not a bad thing I did miss them. I am not a huge fan of the time lapses and have decided to just ignore any time references when they turn up. Readers privilege ;) I also felt that I had missed out a chunk between Jordan and Al to the point where I thought I had missed a book as i would have like to read about that development and am disappointed to have not. Overall another great read and onto the next!

Great romance with great characters
I really enjoyed this book. It was very well written - I found myself very invested in the characters. I very regularly found myself in tears of happy / sadness.Genre wise I would personally say it was a romance with a sideline of crime / detective work. In my opinion I would have preferred a stronger crime storyline with the romance on the side - especially considering the main characters are a doctor and cop - but that is just my personal preference. I would definitely like to read more books by this author.

Brilliant again.
Another fantastic book by Max, I really enjoyed Stella & Allie's story. Both had major trust issues but found a way to move past them together. Engaging story from the start and great to catch up with a few familiar characters along the way. Read Max's books you won't be disappointed.
