Still funny
This volume seemed to have the craziness toned down just a bit but was still good.Gin loses his memory but finds it when the chips are down and his friends are at his side. Considering this is when he's at his best I wasn't too surprised to see him rise to the occasion. Then he battles for the last copy of the new issue of Jump with a stranger. Destroying, repairing, destroying their apartment plays out followed by a nice piece on Zura hiding out from the Shinsengumi. A son needing help with his senile father hires them to help him out. The last is a cliffhanger lesson that leads into the next volume. I don't want to spoil the story but this one had my only real LOL moment for this volume. It's got a really good lead into the next volume.Bonuses : noneFav moment: Gin and Shinpachi walking into the bank

Gintama always delivers
Gintama is in my opinion the best manga to come up in a long while. Is funny, it has action and the characters are just great.VIZ media is doing a great job at the translation, they just added the honorifics, which make it even better. They still need to put some refences. For newcomers to manga some things will not make sense, its still funny; but you need to have some knowledge of Japanese culture and other anime and manga to really appreciate the greatness that is gintama.I really recomend this manga, give it a try.

Grab your dreams with your fists!
Gintama volume 6 contains chapters 41 to 49.It is rated T+ for Older teens due to "suggestive situations"Gintama is set in a world that has samurai, aliens, ninjas, monsters, pirates and anything you can think of really.Gintoki, Kagura, Shinpachi and Sadaharu make up the Yorozuya, a jack-of-all-trades group that help people with any type of problem (for a small fee)In volume 6:Yorozuya go picking mushrooms! But find an angry bear...Sougo asks Gintoki to investigate an underground fighting ring.Kondo runs into more bad luck.Gintoki, Kagura and Shinpachi are hospitalised after eating bad crabs.Edo is invaded by giant coackroaches! And a phony religion? Will Yorozuya fall for it?The cover has Katsura on. That's reason enough to buy it! :)Also in this volume, on the first page, is Hideaki Sorachi's signature! And there are a couple of the original character designs featured in this book. (I'm glad he changed them!)

Great anime
Great for fans of Gin Tama or just crazy manga in general. While it takes some issues to find its feet, once it does it’s a very funny, action packed manga with a surprising amount of heart and soul.

Very Overpriced but understandable
Most of the Gin Tama series I've bought for about $14 - so when I paid around $50 for this it was quite an eye opener! That being said - I understand why the ability to put this out for such a high price. It seems to be a rare volume which is hard to find. Granted I didn't look very hard (Indigo/Chapters Online, Book stores, Kijiji, and Amazon - and Amazon had only this one seller). So - as much as the price hurt a bit, it was what I needed to complete my collection; and am still happy that I had made the purchase.I haven't received the item yet (it's still within it's delivery window) - but I might add to the review if anything significant is discovered upon delivery. Likely this review will be all that's needed....... how bad could sending a book via mail wind up anyway?
