Smartwool Everyday Solid Rib Crew Socks For Men and Women

Great socks! Warm without being itchy. Comfortable fit. Much better than the typical athletic sock. This is white, but I also like the colorful design, which my cat also likes.

I have worked in heavy industry for +48 years, about 20 years ago I became aware of the benefits of wool socks. I have found that the smart wool socks are the only way to go. We have 4 seasons of weather in Michigan, both summer & winter my feet remain comfortable, unlike cotton (holding water) or synthetic (causing my feet to perspire) . Including drive time to work locations & work time I would spend no less than 12 hours per day, sometimes 24 to 32 hours if there were customer emergencies. The smart wool socks last a long time. The only negative comment is that my tastes in designs & coloring are 100% different than the Smartwool designers. I will be a lifelong Smart Wool customer.

I wear Smartwools almost every day and these hold up better than the thicker ones (especially in the heel). They wash well, don’t shrink, and dry quick even while wearing them.

I’ll start with the negative because I didn’t realize this at first. They are a little bit more fussy than I am used to when it comes to laundry. Basically I just have to make sure to properly wash and dry them.That said… I’m a total believer in smart wool socks. They are so comfortable, warm, and fit great. They cost quite a bit more than I was accustomed to spending on socks but worth every penny.

Thin wool is the way to go

I have Raynaunds phenomenon and my toes get ice cold even in the middle middle of summer and I’m always wearing socks and shoes or socks and slippers even in if it’s 103 out because my toes freeze all the time. A colleague at work mentioned these to me and although I’m not big on wall because my skin is too sensitive these were the very best they kept my feet warm and dry and he didn’t have to worry about if your feet were sweating because even in shoes they stayed dry. I would love to find them at a cheaper rate that’s why I only have two now and luckily yesterday I had found a store that carries them and I’ve gotten more than 50% off on what I spent on these. So I probably will go back to the store when I have some more money to try to stock up on the smart old socks.

Socks are fine, good quality, but do not have the light cushion I was looking for. Cushion is at least as heavy as the Danish Endurance socks you can get on Amazon for a third of the price but same quality.

Initial review: just had ‘em a few days so can’t speak to their durability yet.The teal blue color is very attractive — bright enough to be bold, but not excessive, not “neon"I bought them thinking they’d be thicker, but they’re only thick on the bottom where the cushioning is. Otherwise they’re on the thin side, which makes them well suited for cool weather, if not ideal for cold weather. But it hardly ever drops below 40 degrees here in LA, so for me they’re good socks for cool Winter days, cool evenings, or paired with my Sorel slippers at home. I suspect I could wear these in warm weather.For truly cold weather, you’ll probably want to go with a thicker sock.
