Works well and can be used during printing.Feed can be assisted with a short length of PTFE tubing, but the rubber grommet supplied has a captive sealing plug for better heat retention. (And keeps the dust out)

Other than the noise of the heater being a bit annoying at least I know it's doing something!It does get hot!It's early days but I'm quite impressed. Covered in protective cellophane it arrived today. It gets quite hot on the sides and lid and the humidy sensor seems to work. Heated my first roll of filament new out of the pack, humidity seems to drop over three hours. Quality of the lid is like a 70s stereo turntable.I'm pleased with the quality for the pric. Display is nice and clear. Heats up as described although unsure how accurate it is... It's certainly feeling about the right temperature.Glad I paid a bit extra for the brand named item as it gives me more faith in the product. Hopefully being an updated v2 version it's made a little better.I'll update here as I get more experience with the item but for now it does exactly what I wanted.

I thought I would do a more comprehensive review of this Filament dryer as the ones I have seen skimp on the good stuff:The good points:This unit has a strong heater unit in it - during initial heat up i was seeing between 135 and 150 watts at the wall and it is quick. A lot of the other cheapies have much lower power heaters significantly increasing your initial heat times. During running with a stabilised temperature it went down to between 5w and 40w.Temperature wise, it maxes out at 65 degrees which will cover the materials I am looking to dry (PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU) and had suitable temperature regulation in an indoor environment (i.e 19 Degrees C or above in testing)Aesthetically, it looks ok and everything fits well - no gaping gaps.Packaging is decent - Amazon shipped in it's own box and it came undamaged.The not-so-good:The fan is LOUD. Think ender 3 hot end fan levels - you don't want it running anywhere near anyone in your household and divorce will come quickly if you dry over night anywhere near your bedroom.The fan in mine is unbalanced (i have to assume cheap) as the whole unit has a high pitch vibrating hum which adds to the noise level. Whether it lasts a long time or this is a fault that will cause an early failure only time will tell. If I put a heavy book on it it reduces the vibration but it should not need this.The inside lower side panels have a small amount of insulation but the top, being clear is not - perfect for seeing your filament dry (as-if) as well as to bleed heat. I found a old spare hat to cure this and I'm sure that will save me a couple of watts and help keep the temperature stable at the top of the spool. Useful if you are printing from it but I'm not so....The rollers inside were splattered with chunks of lithium (have to assume) grease as well as the sides around the spool bearings and the bottom - sloppy QC control - had to get in there to give it a good wipe so I didn't get greasy spools. Should have been done at assembly time.The selection knob requires you to hold the whole box while you click to select otherwise you simply push the box - the click action is not that great.Overall, if you have a good place to use it that is not in your living area this gives a pretty good bang for your buck at the current pricing - I paid £38 delivered to my door and couldn't be happier (except for the sh1te fan that is).Drying times - take their numbers and add a significant amount more. I am basing on a target internal humidity while running of 15% and this seems to equate to around 30% when the spool is sitting in a sealed box at room temperature (20 degrees C) and that seems to print well (PLA and PETG tested so far)

does the job as expected, definitely noticed improved quality after drying the filament.

I bought PLA in bulk and I was having issues using white PLA as it kept snapping.I was going insane trying to figure out a way to improve my printing.This solved all my issues! The print quality now is perfect.Really compact design and nice colour, it fits nicely next to my printer.I’ve purchased it with a discount so for me it was great value for money.

This is a neat product that takes two reels and dries them well. The control panel takes some getting used to as the finger pressure has to be just right. Once you get the hang of it it is OK.Biggest issues is that if the temperature is less than 15C when powering up, it reports an error and refuses to heat. In my workshop which is unheated I have to use a hot air gun to waft some warm air into the unit to get it to start.

First filament I bought, has a nice finish. Easy to use and a great price. Found that it prints best at the 190-210° range, in my opinion.

Looks the part, basic interface but does what it needs too. Can only set timer for hours at a time but not to much of an issue.Only real negative is moisture level always reads 15% so dont no if its actually working.
