Fantastic price for a fantastic knife.
When I saw the price of this knife, I just had to have it. It was listed as having M390 Blade steel but the one that I received actually turned out to be magna cut. now for me that’s not a problem at all, as both steels are fantastic. In my limited experience, I’d say that the M390 will probably hold an edge slightly longer than the magna cut if it’s done correctly, but the magna cut is definitely more tough which I think would make it better for more of an all-around every day use knife at least for the majority of people.I only have two other assisted opening knives and for me, it’s not exactly something that is needed as I find most modern pocket knives open very easily these days sometimes easier with the ball bearings that are found on most. The knive opens perfectly with the flipper tap but closing it is a little bit more difficult simply because you have to overcome that spring. So it’s not a one hand closer at least not for me. I either have to use both hands or push it against the side of my leg or an object. The blade itself is a very nice shape. It’s got a good amount of belly on it, but it has a nice tip on it as well. It was very sharp right out of the box. The lock up is of course very good with the liner lock. There is no blade play at all. The handle is aluminum, but feels very ergonomic and fits my hand perfectly. The clip on this is not terrible, but not great at least in my opinion it’s so so. The knife is a tad bit heavier than some other knives I have of a similar size but not uncomfortably so and it definitely feels solid and durable. When I bought it I think it was $109. That’s just unheard of and Kershaw makes a great product. They really made a very good knife in this and I would highly recommend whether you like assisted knives or not if you want a super steel knife this is one of the best options out there.

Amazing knife, amazing steel, high quality knife at great cost.
I have many Zero Tolerance knives (the higher end sister company of Kershaw). This is like a ZT knife at a Kershaw price. The new version of this knife (the one I got) comes with Magnacut steel which is incredible. I saw this in an ad and did not know what it was called so I had to search for a while to find it. It has quickly become my favorite knife and my go to EDC. Everything about this knife I like - the aluminum blade handle, the beautiful olive color of the handle and stonewash blade coating, the sharpness, edge retention, and the incredible steel the blade is made of. This is a very good knife for this price point as you are really getting something that is value/quality wise over $200 but for around $120. I have many Kershaw knives but this one has become my favorite. I would buy this again in a heartbeat and if you are looking for a quality knife for either yourself or for a person who loves quality knives, this is worth every penny.

Inexpensive, Snappy, Magnacut.
If you're on a budget it's hard to find a magnacut knife. This is it. Best Kershaw ever. Basically a ZT for less than half the price. I could list all the great things about it, but if you're reading this you're already considering buying it, so just buy it. You'll love. It's worth it for sure.

Great USA made Kershaw
Nice knife with magnacut steel blade, 🇺🇸 made, and great warranty (I have used Kershaw’s warranty for one of my Leek knives). Knife is sharp as delivered, and will see on edge retention. Snappy open and solid lock up. Deep carry clip, which is reversible, which I like because I carry front left normally. No safety lock, but it takes more force than the Leek and Chive to open, so don’t think it’s necessary. Blade style and size will be more useful for me camping, fishing etc, where as the Leek or Chive I use for other purposes.

An Outstanding Value for an EDC folder.
The Link is a fantastic EDC and easily one of the best values of any production knife available. The Pros:Steel: Magnacut is the most well-rounded knife steel currently available. Design: The Link’s drop-point blade makes it a good slicer, cutter and chopper. Its handle fills the palm providing numerous grip options. Action: This is a truly ambidextrous knife. The blade can be easily deployed in either dominant or weak hand. It can also be deployed while wearing thick work gloves. Country of Origin: USA. Finally, Value. Taking everything into consideration above and because Kershaw Knives always sell for below MSRP, finding another American-made knife that checks off all these boxes for under $200 will be tough. (At the time of this review this Link Model is $127.00)The Cons:Magnacut Steel is difficult to sharpen. I can’t use my Arkansas or Naniwa stones with this steel. They are too inefficient. If you sharpen your knives, you will need glass or diamond stones. The Flipper Lever: It’s sort-of like a small bird’s bill. If you enjoy fidgeting with your knives, this one starts to bite after a few dozen trigger-pulls. Ironically, it’s this “design-flaw” that makes it so easy to use while wearing gloves. Reputation. The best analogy I can give is that Kershaw is the Ford of the folding knife world. It puts out a respectable product but someone will always be quick to tell you that “X knife company does it better.”The Elephant in The Room:With all the improvements over the past few years in synthetics, bearings, lubricants, tolerances, design, and a roll back on the restrictions governing automatic knives, Assisted Opening Knives have basically become obsolete. If you want that simple, effortless, rapid deployment, just get an automatic knife. Assisted Knives add complexity, decrease reliability, add weight and are loud- just like their automatic counter-parts. The one single advantage (other than legal considerations) I see an assisted knife holding over an auto is that 99% of all automatic knives are designed for right hand deployment. This was the reason I bought the Link. I have to have the option of carrying it in my left pocket. In conclusion:I know I went off the rails on the “Assisted Opening” topic but it needed mentioning. Thanks for reading so far. I like the Kershaw Link. For the price, it offers excellent value. I really appreciate how I can use it while wearing gloves. There’s room for improvements but nothing that would prevent me from buying another if I lost mine. If your in a “switchblade restricted” state or city, look into the Kershaw Link further as it will likely satisfy your desires for that action.I hoped this review helped and Cheers from New Hampshire

Bad Ass knife!!!
Bad Ass knife!!! I love the ease of the flip out blade. The knife is super sharp and Kershaw will sharpen it for you as long as you own it. The clip on it is strong and holds it very well! Would buy again!
