We’re NOT big soda drinkers, but we do enjoy a fizzy beverage now and again, so we put off buying one of these for a long time. Well, Prime Day came around and we saw the sale on this, and decided to go ahead & get one. We use it A LOT MORE than we thought we would! They have SO MANY flavorings, you’re SURE to find something you’ll use it for! My husband likes tonic water, and ginger ale, for the most part, and I’ve always loved root beer; those are our go-to drinks, but we’ve experimented with other flavorings, which are hit-or-miss. Most of the fruit flavorings just taste artificial, but we’ve found a few we really like. This one uses no electricity, so you can use it anywhere. The design is great, as its small footprint doesn’t take up much counter space, but it IS tall. We drink A LOT of plain water, so this provides a nice change of pace for our water intake.

The media could not be loaded. I like soda water, but never owned a machine where I could make my own so I can’t compare to anything else other than the store. But I can’t say is that they certainly made making soda easy and fun. I’m not sure what you call it, but I have what I would call an addiction to soda water. I drink it every day and this was a much more cost-effective way of feeding my addiction. As you can see in the attached video, you simply add the provided SodaStream bottle full of cold water, close the compartment, and hit the button 3 to 4 times releasing the carbonation. It’s that simple. When you pull it out, you have soda water. It’s fun to use and I can can’t tell any difference between that and store-bought soda. The CO2 cartridges are rather expensive, so make sure you take the time to understand the exchange program where you can get them at a reduced rate. Overall, I love it and use it every day

After 5 months of mediocre operation (bottles can only be filled 3/4 full or water sprays everywhere), it’s has stopped carbonating entirely. I’ve replaced the carbon canisters, but the issue seems to be that the unit isn’t sealing properly while carbonating, so the CO2 isn’t being forced into the water but is instead escaping though defective seal(s). I’ve contacted the manufacturer and will update this review IF they help fix or replace the defective merchandise.After 2 week, 10 emails, multiple phone calls, I finally was able to speak to a person, who told me that they will not honor the warranty because I used a CO2 canister that is not their brand. First I’d heard of that. I spent $200 on the machine and special glass bottles, not to mention $40 of full canisters, all of which are now trash, after oly a few months of use. RIP OFF. Buyer beware.

I was skeptical about this but it really is a much better solution than buying your own soda. You can make the 1L or so container in about 30 seconds, and it's a solid cost savings, especially in cities where a 2L bottle of soda is easily $3.49 or more.I got a diet caffeine free syrup on Amazon and had that shipped, and also got a sugar-free cherry syrup. It's a solid replacement for my Cherry Coke Zero habit which was both expensive and hard to fill since many grocery stores don't carry 2L bottle of that. Plus, that has caffeine, so being able to make a soda that's exactly what I want is great, and doesn't keep me up all night if I have a glass around dinner time.I've been using it for weeks and I'm still on my first bottle of carbonation. If you are even a mildly frequent soda drinker, take the plunge. It's very much worth it. You get to be sort of your own barista to get soda exactly as you like it, which is nice.Only mild issue is that a rear tab on the back fell off while pulling it out of the box, but it's not really a problem.

I love this machine. It is so easy to use and makes great sparkling water.

This is our 2nd soda stream acqua fizz. The first one worked for about 5+ years before giving up the ghost. We used it a lot! This new version has the same dimensions but the fizzing part is way better /stronger. Now I’m thrilled the 1st one died. We use the machine & bottles multiple times a week. We always have at least 2 prepped bottles in the frig. We use to buy bottled waters and haven’t don’t that in at least 1/2 decade.

This carbonation device works great. It is easy to use and makes a great product out of simple water (I use RO water and suggest that is better than plain tap water.)
