Super easy to unlock.
I gave this a 5 star due to the ease of opening the container! Previously, I bought a different brand with a key and was unable to open it and even bent the key trying! This container is great!!

Good boxes but instructions are lacking
This is a nice set of durable plastic rodent bait boxes. I had a biblical plague of mice last winter and this year I want to be ready for the little vermin. I will be poisoning the little boogers but I have pets that I don’t want to get at the bait. Well, maybe the cat…no, my wife would be mad…anyway these boxes put the poison way inside out of harms way. While the boxes are what I need I found the instructions lacking. First off they leave out how you open the box. That’s a pretty important thing to know. By utilizing my advanced degree in elementary music education I was able to figure out that by inserting two of the plastic keys into the holes on the top and giving each key a quarter turn the box would unlock. Once opened it I positioned the bait tray in the proper place and poured in the poison. There are other parts included but no reference is made as to how they should be used. For instance, there are some metal rods with a slight hook at the end. I have no idea what they are for. My music degree failed me on this. There is also a plastic bracket that looks to be for mounting the box? Anyway, all that really matters is that I have placed four bait stations in various locations in my shop, garage and storage shed and I am happy with that. Let the exterminating begin.

Easy to Use, Great Lock, But Limited Chunx Capacity
Well made and far easier to open with the key than some others I’ve used (and are easier to pry open with a screwdriver than using their “keys”).Nice flexibility for bait pellets with included tray. Only downside to these is limited capacity for bait chunx on the included bar: you can only fit 2 or 3 chunx whereas on my other stations I can fit & chunx on 4 vertical posts. One star deduction for the limited capacity but giving that star back for the we’ll designed and easy to use locking mechanism and included pellet tray.

No CLEAR instructions? Good quality but couldn't use until I figured it out.
I've never bought these before so I had absolutely no idea what some of the included pieces do. I finally figured out that a section of the interior can be blocked off (not sure why?) and I THINK the metal bar is to give the mice something to try to cross from one side of the box to the other (once I figured out how to insert it, because again, instructions were not good). But I'm not sure the purpose of this bar. I'll probably take to a local pest control company and ask them what the heck these parts are and exactly how to use it properly. Though for the purpose of putting my mouse traps into it so my dogs can't get their tongues stuck in them it works really great. I'm not a fan of having to constantly open them to check to see if there are dead rodents, but you can't have everything perfect (well actually, a clear lid would make this nicer). Please revamp your instructions so knowing how to use EVERY part of this design is perfectly clear.

Not good
The metal bars were too short

Good quality bait stations.
These are good quality bait stations that can also be used other ways if you prefer. They seem very durable. The instructions could perhaps be better, but I guess you can figure them out easily enough as well.I got them for the office and plan to use them with bait as designed. These will work great for me. I am not using them in an area with cats or other small rodents so the hole openings are fine for me.

Sturdy Rat Bait Stations with Poor Instructions
This four-pack of rat bait stations is sturdy, well-made, and versatile for indoor or outdoor use. They do require you to add your own bait, which was expected, but the design seems solid. However, the instructions leave much to be desired. Figuring out how to open the containers with the included keys was a frustrating trial-and-error process, as there's no mention in the instructions about needing keys. Additionally, there are mounting brackets included that are not clearly explained. You have to deduce its purpose for yourself.Despite these challenges, I have high hopes for these rat traps. The product seems to be high-quality and functional. With better instructions, this would likely be a product given more stars. Now, let the trapping begin...
