Well-designed and easy to read and use piano scale chart.
This is a well-designed and arranged chart of piano scales. It is a large chart that comes printed on both sides, and it is folded in half so that each side is about 8" by 11", which provides four sides of scales and fits easily on the piano music holder. It is easy to sight read, and the coloring makes it easy to determine chord notes from the scales. The material feels like the chart will last a long time. The price is quite reasonable and seems to be a good value.

Once you are familiar with basic theory this works
We only take from Vine what we need and use.So this is a handy cheat sheet for a beginner, but only once they have been given some basic knowledge. Don't expect to get a lot out of this with zero knowledge of music theory. I have studied music to a high level and once I figured out the schema to the diagrams (which is kind of written as an aside), it was a good tool if I were to need to use it (which honestly I don't, though its not aimed at people like me). Now my daughter has just started piano lessons and some of it, not all of it, resonated. Thats who I got this for. She's already studied it and got something from it, but she did say she found the schema a little confusing at first. So its a cheat sheet, once you can cheat. Hence four stars. It is well constructed physically.

Great for a scale decoder.
This scales chart is great to have. My husband and daughter use it and they find it easy to use. The material of the paper is very sturdy and won’t fall over. It’s just the right size, and not too big or small. The thickness of the paper makes it easy to prop up and see as you play. The color of the notes on the scale sheets makes it easy to look at at a glance.

Twinkle twinkle little star...
Awesome.Great layout, easy to read with lots of information. The chart is helping me figure out the keyboard as I'm learning to play. I have been playing bass and guitar for over 30 years, and the layout of this chart (and an actual keyboard) is helping me get to know the notes that make up guitar chords.Yeah, I know... after 30 years I should have figured it out by now...With the help of this chart I can say, "well, better late than never!"

No fingering guidance - disappointing!
This is a review of "Piano Scales Major Minor Chart" - not the 2-pack.I should have looked more closely at the images. Notice that the numbers go up to 7; not many of us have 7 fingers on one hand. I was hoping to get the correct fingering for various scales (for both single and multiple octaves), but there's no help with that here. So this ends up being more of a music-theory guide than a how-to-play-scales-on-the-piano guide. But if you need help counting how many notes are in one octave of a scale, then this is the thing for you.

A bit confusing for a beginner, but very helpful when it starts to make sense.
I am just learning how to play the piano and chords have bee very confusing for me, so this chart is very helpful. If you have a bit more of a background than just starting out, this is a great reference. It is made of a nice heavy matte finish cardstock that folds in half like a book (about 8.5"x11 " when folded) and is printed both sides. For a beginner, it seems to be hard to understand, so I think to be able to refer to it properly, it will take a bit more learning what it all means. So if you have a better foundation this might be great.

Handy sheet and nice quality!
This handy sheet displays the major, natural minor, harmonic minor, and melodic minor piano scales in all keys. The scales with roots on natural notes are on one side and the scales whose roots have accidentals are on the other. There are also descriptions of the whole step and half step patterns of each scale, as well as how to play the major and minor pentatonic scales and how to find the relative minor scale. The layout is great as well as the quality of the paper, which seems quite durable.
