Good but probably not great
The grip feels well made and I picked this up in the black friday sale so at that price seems fair for what you get. It is certainly not the comfiest layout though. Although dual analogue placements are good, the ABXY buttons are practically unusable without adjusting your grip. This means you have to really use the back buttons instead. This may be fine for some but ive never really got on with back buttons so training myself to use them and get along with this grip has diminished my enjoyment slightly. The oled switch looks fantastic in it though, i love the dark smoke transparent design. Not a fan of the thumb sticks provided and had to pay extra for the xbox style ones which again left a bit of a bitter taste. The buttons are easily programmable though and the app works well, just wish ergonomically it was better and that they had spent more time making the controls more anthropometrically sound.

Ok but…
I’ve tried both models, and I have to say I prefer the first one. This one is very nice, and the fact that it can act as a dock is a great addition, as is the ability to fine-tune settings through the app. However, I find having the buttons underneath really uncomfortable, and having to remap the buttons while losing all the muscle memory I’ve built up isn’t something I’m willing to do. I’m much more comfortable with the first model.

Overall a Good Product
The dock is solid and feels quality. I went with the transparent model which is nice. The rumble works well and the joysticks are much better than the standard Nintendo switch joycons. My biggest gripe with the dock is the size, it’s big and bulky and I don’t think it’s necessary. It feels akin to the Nintendo Wii U for anybody who used the device.I’m not convinced the placement of the right hand joystick moving to the top was a good idea. It doesn’t feel very ergonomic, but that may be because of the overall bulk of the product.All-in-all it’s a decent dock and very usable. I just wish it wasn’t quite so hefty.

Not for large hands or to play 'Dead cell's' or any platformers unless...
The media could not be loaded. I really wanted to love the CRKD Nitro Deck+ Controller. From the moment of receiving the product in my hand, unboxing gave similar vibes to unboxing the steam deck. Presentation was excellent and the controller included a quick release string lock cloth pouch to carry it in.The CRKD Nitro deck is cosmetically a fine product, the transparent casing is matt finished on the front and solid white at the back. There is also two USB C ports below the ridge on either side of the sturdy stand. below that is the release 'Switch' button. Sliding the tablet in and out is simple enough to do.One USB C is for mains 'power in' and the other for 'Video out' without the need of dock, note: you will need power in to use this feature.Ergonomics: The grip groove feels comfortable in the hand, with the combined weight of 610 grams (Switch Oled), it never feels too heavy, especially for someone who is used to the Steam deck Oled (640g). The controller thumb sticks are hall effect and feel great, I love the reflective purple behind the sticks. Button pressing is not silent but not too loud either, definitely acceptable. After all I have said, you probably wondering why the opening sentence? here is why, it is the location of the buttons, they are lower down and the right thumb stick takes precedence at the top part of the controller. CRKD why? The switch is probably one of those consoles that does not need to be up there with the right thumb stick, (hardly any games need the right stick in dominant position). Now with the ABXY buttons being so low down, I already knew that this would probably be a problem, but we can't review on presumptions, to prove my point, I loaded 'Dead Cells', one of the many games that require quite a lot of button pressing. Lo and behold, thumb cramp happened within 15 minutes of play. Now in the defence of the product, I did ask my wife to game with the Nitro Deck, she actually found it to be okay, but agreed the button location was still a little low for her. Obviously the problem could be my large hands and not everyone would have that issue, but this could easily be avoided if the manufacturers really put more thought or do more R&D, think more deeply about Ergonomics beforehand. Also there is a option to assign the buttons to the four under the grip, which I know some users likes doing, they are responsive.Final Thoughts: Excellent well made product, maybe the thumb stick location was intentional but in my opinion it is such a shame that it is let down by the button location, rendering the Nitro deck a lot less enjoyably to game on in a general sense, especially with my large man hands. 3 Stars.Note: I have just noticed CRKD makes another model that does have the buttons where the right thumb stick is on this model, if that one is like this one, then it is definitely a worth consideration and would definitely be rated much higher. thanks for reading and have a lovely day.

Great functioning dock
The media could not be loaded. This is quite a comfortable gamepad to use. The analogue sticks are better placed than the original joy cons. This will not work out of the box however. The controller needs to be connected by changing the settings on the switch to allow for it work with a pro pad. This could be better with a HDMI port for docking.

Good quality controller.
Great quality controller deck for you Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED.You can definitely tell this a more premium made controller and doesn't feel cheaply made.Hall effect analogue sticks that feel great to use and prevent stick drift.Programmable buttons and adjustable triggers allow for the more serious gamer to adjust there setup even more. You can adjust manually or via the free App.Not everyone is a fan of the layout of the buttons and analogue sticks and yes it does take a little while to get used to but this is my go to controller now when I'm playing in handheld mode, and I play in handheld mode pretty much most of the time. The deck does have a little more weight to it than I would like and children especially young ones may struggle to hold for longer periods of game time.Overall this controller deck does in my opinion deliver a great controling experience while playing my Switch Oled and if your not a fan of the extra buttons then simply deactivate them.Great controller in my opinion that I use daily, well made and premium and happy to have it in my collection.Currently £69.99 I'd say is about right and I do recommend.
