Brilliant Machine
I can't fault the Laptop. I am not one for doing reviews but just a few words. Amazon service is second to non. After using the Laptop for a month I will say, for the lightweight design and the power it has, it beats the pants off competition. Plays all games seamlessly. I have Just received my new Pimax 5k VR from pre order. I can tell you that this machine runs the device very well despite reviewers saying you need at leased a 1080 TI . Brilliant machine and now a realistic price. 3k just over the top. Just one complacent, I live in Thailand so not subject to UK VAT, they did not give me the full 20% vat discount. After asking them why, got a nonsensical reply. Combine weight and power there isn't a better machine, Well recommended.

Amazing performance, amazing for the money
I decided to wait few months before writing a review on this, but I'm still amazed by it.Let's start with the cons - it's heavy, huge and can get loud, but it's all for a good reason. To be fair, it's a lot quieter than I expected it to be. When I'm gaming with my headphones on, I can't hear the cooling fans at all, they just kinda blend into background noise. I also kinda wish it had more USB ports.I tried playing few games - CS:GO/Rocket League is like a breakfast to this laptop. Tried Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally, Assassins Creed: Unity, Battlefield 3, ArmA 3, all on Ultra details with no issues whatsoever.I also love the design. It's a perfect middle ground between gaming and casual style - it doesn't make you look like an idiot in office environment.A lot of people complain about battery life and it's not great, indeed, but come on. It's a gaming laptop and its primary purpose is to perform. If you want it to stay alive for longer, turn down the refresh rate to 60Hz, go to Nvidia Panel and disable G-Sync, turn on battery saver mode and you should be fine for few hours.

Possibly my best ever buy
Had this for almost a year now. I bought as new from Amazon Warehouse. That gamble paid off big time. Registered for the 2 year warranty and it was obvious that it was indead brand new. £1463 after 20% discount and I've just bought arguably one of the best laptops at the time.Gaming on very high levels run effortlessly and the build quality is 2nd to none. I'll be upgrading the ram and another SSD shortly and that will future proof it for another 3-5 years easy.

For those looking for a workstation/gaming PC on the go.
Love this laptop! Especially after putting in 64GB Ram.It's surprisingly thin, though a little heavy. You can tweak the hardware to make the fans silent while maintaining a good amount of power. It doesn't sound like a jet engine when you make this thing work hard.If you're into gaming, you can run it on 1080p, and the 144Hz monitor makes the whole thing look like butter. And yes, its a full NVIDIA GTX 1080 graphics card, not the Max-Q variety. You can also put in an extra M.2 hard drive with what you get already; even though the 500GB m.2 and 1TB SSD hard-drive (2.5 inch) is more than sufficient.

Awesome Machine @ £2500 (RRP £3000) Black Friday Purchase
In my opinion, Aorus produce the best premium laptops money can buy and their styling is spot on too.Exceptional performance in such a slim form factor. Weight is light enough and very balanced in relation to its solid build quality and the metal materials used. Perfect combination of internal components and makes everything effortless. Power brick is a great size too and further aids in its portability. Fans can become audible under load but that is the nature of the beast regarding gaming laptops unfortunately. Very efficient chassis and cooling design for thermal management. Impeccable aesthetically and pleasing on the eye too. Screen is outstanding along with the keyboard as well. Battery life is short if your hoping to game but doing other tasks it is very acceptable, just never be too far away from a power source. This laptop was solely purchased for gaming, music production and DJing. At less than an inch think this device has the best of all worlds and ticked more boxes than any other brand/model on offer today.Buy this unit whilst you can as there are very limited numbers left worldwide and unfortunately less than 20 in the UK alone. However the newer 2019 lineup will undoubtedly carry a hefty premium, so act whilst you can.For individuals who are on a budget, I would recommend the Asus ROG Strix GL703GS-E5011T (LN89099 @ Scan.co.uk) and at £1500, this is an absolute steal for the specs and portability

Asus G752 is faster and £1000 cheaper
I have one each of the Aorus X7 v8 and the Asus G752. There seems to be a bottleneck in the X7 somewhere as the Asus is noticeably faster loading programs (the Aorus takes over 7 seconds to load Outlook) and a lot quicker on the web. Windows often also can't find the contents of folders on the Aorus - the Asus is rock solid.I use the machines for DTP and graphics work, plus VR.
