Expensive but AMAZING! (Binocs that make you want to use them!)
When spending over £1,300 on a pair of binoculars you expect them to be almost magical. And these almost are. Are they worth the price tag? I'd have dropped a star for that but then thought it was unfair on what be a good price for high end quality. I think they should be around £900. It's a psychological thing, nothing to do with the quality, which is exemplary. It's just it's A LOT of money. Basically, how important is it to you that the far thing is closer to you?For me binoculars always seemed like a good idea at the time but the experience was frustrating. A dancing image, lack of clarity, aberrations in the lens. Then insects and dust getting into them… Something you'd try for about a few minutes and give up on. Sitting in a draw somewhere. If you don't put them on a tripod and don't touch them, they seemed like a waste of time taking up space in a back pack. And when faced with a decision of having a telescope (which I could see using 3-4 times then collecting dust) or something easy, no fuss point and view, I decided to take the plunge and spend the extra on a compromise I could live with.I'm so glad I did. Using these binoculars is an absolute joy. They make you want to go out to places and see with astonishing clarity and more importantly stability. That's what you are paying for after all. It changes that frustration into joy. Being totally honest, it's not rock steady; there can be drift and a little tremor as it compensates for my shaky hands. But propping up on a fence or sitting down on your knees DOES give you that rock steady image. I was quite blown away when I first used them, just how good they were. The image is pin sharp and bright to the edges. But it wasn't plain sailing out of the box though, and at one point I thought I was going to have to return them. You see I wear glasses and have an astigmatism in my right eye (rugby ball shape). At first I thought it was beyond the binocs focus ability. Night skies were full of double imaged stars. But then I watched a few youtube videos and found out that by rolling back the rubber eye guards allowed me to still wear my glasses (pressed against the remaining rubber) and I was the perfect distance to get sharp images. The only downside is the bridge of my nose being pressed a bit. If you wear glasses try that out. Keep your prescription eye correction on!The image quality is incredible. I've seen walkers on distant hills. The moon (too bright at times) in picture book detail and Jupiter (a bright crescent, no red spot- let's not get carried away!) and it's row of pin speck moons. ) It's not a telescope; don't expect to see colourful nebula. Smudges at best. But you do see the red/orange of Mars. So it's a halfway house to a telescope, and this is handheld remember (invest in a gravity chair to lie back for proper night viewing). They are of course rugged binoculars. Infinitely more practical, quickly pulled out of a bag and a quick hunt, find, focus and hit that stabiliser button... a second or two for it to momentarily steady (I find rocking back the focus finger tip only helps). And then you're engrossed.Despite their weight (you do feel them around the neck) they are something I carry on my walks all the time now (might swap out the strap- it cuts into my neck a bit). Lately I spotted goose eggs on a lake island that I would never have seen before. It makes you study your surroundings more. I am reassured I haven't made an expensive mistake. I don't have the patience for telescopes or tripods, I don't want to attract attention. I want to quickly view and move on with no fuss. So this is a perfect solution for me.The downside as I say is the cost. But anything of quality you have to pay for. I believe unlike other binoculars they won't feel like a mistake of infrequent use.Check out the youtube videos before purchase. As someone with "compromised vision" they work great for me and in my "retirement" a nice boy's toy to have.

Quality Binoculars.
These are truely brillant, a little pricey but really are excellent in every way and well worth spending the extra money for the first class results.

Good clear image and the Stabilisation is excellent.
from Driftfree on 07 December 2017These were delivered within the stated delivery time and were well boxed for protection. They are well made and are of solid construction with a nice soft feel to the weatherproof rubber casing. I use these at home for plane spotting mostly (clouds permitting) as I live on a main plane route to London. They are well worth the cost for the clarity and brightness of the image when you set them up correctly using the clear information/instructions provided. The soft rubber eye pieces are ajustable for width and the soft rubber eye cups can be folded back to accomodate people who wear glasses like myself. The stabilisation is excellent when you press the button and is one of the main reasons I purchased these.Being of solid construction they are probably a bit heavy to carry about in the field for long periods, but I do not use them for this purpose. They were considerably cheaper from Amazon than other outlets and I am very pleased with this purchase to date.

Beautiful stable images from long range
The binoculars are a good size and have a decent set of functions to adjust so the viewing is comfortable. The stabilisation works really well and colours are maintained even on longer distance viewing. I bought these to look up at the night sky while seated and I am impressed with clarity and stability. I have only just received the product so have been experimenting with it and am interested to know how long the batteries will last as the manual suggests 8 hours of continuous use. I was surprised that there are covers for the eye cups but not for the lenses although the case will keep these clean. The strap is robust and so overall the product is good. The price is the big issue however I believe it is worth it if you use the binoculars regularly.

The best I've ever used
I have hummed and hard about purchasing these for years the cost is quite high although I have always known that you get what you pay for and the quality is second to none,I had read reviews of these binoculars on many websites mostly I have to say five star rating although you can only be certain using your own eyes so I bit the bullett and ordered a pair from Amazon, now I had searched the web on prices & Amazon we're not the cheapest by a long way however I purchase a lot products over the years and think you can trust Amazon the supply genuine UK products not grey goods from Hong Kong or wherever so I think the extra is worth it ,I wasn't disappointed these are the business beautiful optics and the image stabilising is incredible yes they do get through batteries if you use them continuously but that's a small price to pay I've just retired so they were a gift to myself and I'm thrilled with them my children are all claiming them when I'm gone and I believe they will still be incredible in thirty years or so wishfully thinking on my part anyway all I can say is these are quality products by a world renowned manufacture who are to be congratulated on leading the way,and thank you Amazon for prompt servicePaul Newton
