These lancets are nice to use because there is no guessing or flinching in lancing yourself. The gauge isn't so big that it feels like your finger is bruised and doesn't leaving you bleeding excessively. This doesn't take up a lot of room in your sharps container like some of the single-use lancets can and this is a good value for 100 lancets.

I think that these lancets are great because they don't require you to have separate parts on hand. I always hated having to constantly replace the needle bit every time I need to check my blood sugar. Having everything in one piece is both just easier for me and all around safer really. How many times I've dropped those little tiny plastic needle tips and been worried that someone might step on it if I wasn't able to find it. These are a noticeable orange and white color while also large enough to spot easily if accidentally dropped. So, all in all, while somewhat wasteful of materials, they just make managing my diabetes easier and give me peace of mind.

I originally thought I was buying lancets that work in the lancing tool. When I got them, I realized that these have the tool built into them. That's very convenient.They don't go as deep or wide, (not to sure) as my others that use the tool, so the blood drop that you get out of it is smaller. If you squeeze around the spot, enough blood will draw. (This happens sometimes with the regular lancets as well)

I have to do daily finger sticks. When I'm home, I don't mind loading my lancet pen and dealing with recapping sharps when I'm done. When I'm at work during the week, I don't want so many pieces.These you twist off the little white cap to expose the spring-loaded tip. You press it to your finger and it quickly flicks into the skin and back. No exposed sharps. They are single-use springs. If you miss or mess up, you'll need a new one. Sometimes, I feel like they strike a little harder than other days and I wind up with a bruise about 50% of the time, but that could be my own sensitivity because I experience similar results with my lancet pen.They are simple to use and I will continue to use them on the go.
