love it
I love MP, and "Aeronautics" with Jorn Lande on vocals is an amazing album with no duds at all, perfect throughout, one of my 10 desert island records. This album without Jorn is very good too and the MP style is instantly recognizable. Mike the "other" singer is great. So if you love MP like I do, dont do like I did and pass on this album because Jorn is not there. Buy it now, it stands up and fights together with MP1, Aeronautics and Time to be King. Why are these guys so scarce???

Brave New Masterplan
It takes some time to get used to the new Masterplan album - Mike DiMeo's vocals are only occasionally similar to Jorn's, and Mike Terrana's drumming style differs a lot from Uli Kusch's; eventually, though, you will discover that quality-wise this is still the Masterplan you love since the powerful debut album: melodic, energetic and with some very good lyrics (this time all written by DiMeo). The highlights are: the very catchy "Lost and Gone", the suspenseful "Keeps Me Burning" which features some great singing from DiMeo and first-rate guitar riffs from Grapow, and "Masterplan" - a tight metal track, perfect for live performances.

Different than MK I
While the first Master Plan CD sounds like an 80s metal band (that is why I bought it) MK II has a more 90s metal giving it a very different sound. At first, I was turned off by my initial expectations but then one of the songs got stuck in my head. Before I knew it I was appreciating this album for what it is. It is different then the first album, and just as good.

Top notch
Another Masterplan Masterpiece...All ofthis band's albums are a work of musical art in the symphonic metal genre... very energetic, melodic, aggressive, and laden with guitar riffs... The lyrics are memorizing and apopro ... A must have for fans of this type rock...Carl

3.5 stars
Its a good power heavy album but its the weakest among the fourth albumsAt first I didn't like it. Indeed the whole sound feels more 90s than the Jorns albums which really have a more contemporary sound. The vocals are way back which was really annoying at first but then I got used to it. The singer is not bad and he makes a great effort but he has to fill in for Jorn Lande and that's impossible...almost impossible because if you listen to the new album by beyond twilight where kelly carpenter fills in for Jorn Lande you won't miss him at all!!! Even though now I like the album and play it a lot in my car's cd I can't stop wondering how would that album sound with Carpenter on the vocals as he would keep the spirit of Masterplan which now sounds more hard rock and even reminds me of the later Pink Cream 69 sometimes. In general it's a good album but you have to give it a try.
