Q: When wired in to an existing doorbell line, does it also ring the existing chime?

The doorbell relies on the Wi-Fi transmitted by the repeater for connection, and has one-to-one binding configuration with the repeater before leaving the factory. User cannot unbind the doorbell and the repeater. So you can't use another brand chime for the Aqara video Doorbell

Q: Do you have to buy the hub for this to work?

The Aqara video G4 is a Wi-Fi device, you don't need to bind the G4 to an Aqara hub and the doorbell cannot bind with other child devices directly.

Q: I only see this in the space grey. does anyone have the link for the black unit? for the us.

Have not seen the black one listed the gray one is a light black for me. It was close enough.
