PaascheFP-1/32 Flow Pencil

Well made and easy to clean up. Have to experiment with paint mixture

I purchased the Flow Pencil to rejuvinate some badges I have on a 1958 Airstream Traveler. The only thing missing was the instructions and assembly diagram which I downloaded from the Paasche website. The unit itself appears to be well made and finished. There really is not any product that would do the same job. Cleaning will be a bit fiddly but a tip I got off the WEB was to use the little dental brushes which are used for cleaning between your teeth. Can't wait to try it out!

This is a wonderful tool. It's like a cross between an airbrush and a Rapidograph pen. It looks just like an airbrush, there is a cup for the paint, a trigger you must pull back to get the paint to flow, a tip and needle. Handling it is also much like using an airbrush. The difference is there is no compressed air. It relies on gravity. It pulls a nice crisp line very much like what you would get with a tech pen, ruling pen or Rapidograph pen. It also has a nice stand that you can attach to make the pen sit with the cup pointed up for refilling. All in all a very nice product. It works really well with acrylics.

I did not want to leave feed back until i have used it a few times. I am happy i went with a paasche instead of the other one. Once you get used to thinning your paint it works great. I have used on helmets, truck tailgates, and a few tool boxes with out a single problem. The seller was great to, Fast shipping and arrived quicker than he had stated.

It took a few doors before I could get the flow consistent. As long as the line you were following was a 90 degree corner it worked well, I had a few corners that were not 90 degrees and the pen wanted to run off track. I think I still prefer the look you get when you glaze the whole door and wipe off the excess. Changing the direction on corners was also difficult not to get extra glaze in the corner. The client was very happy with the results so I guess that is all that matters.

Was a great little tool. I am actually using for pinstripe cabinet finish applications in a pinch (see photo.) It appears the newer models have an adjustment for the air to enter the resovior to maximize the uniformity of the line. Beats the $400 options!

Ich habe mir zuerst diese Variante gekauft und wieder zurückgeschickt.Ich fand die Griffanordnung schlecht (hinter dem Becher, in einer Linie).Bei mir hat das probehafte Halten des Gerätes zu einer Verspannung im Handgeleck geführt!Deshalb habe ich mir die Variante "Paasche Flow Pencil FP-1/32" gekauft, hier ist der Hebel um 90° zu dem Becher versetzt. Für mich lässt sich mit diesem Pencil ermüdungsfrei arbeiten.

Very happy with this Paasche FP-1/32 FLOW Pencil. it is everything it's meant to be and got it on time and you can't beat the price for this product. I Highly recommend this Flow Pencil, to anyone. Danny Bertrand.
