This tallow ointment is a great way to keep skin sealed and moist for hours, even in a sunny, windy and cold environment that would otherwise be drying in the extreme. It doesn't have the strong odor that I'm used to with home-rendered tallow, and the honey is a great natural preservative as well as being a great anti-microbial salve for the skin. It's easy to dip a bit out of the jar and spread it on the skin and then massage it in as it warms and softens--use less than you think you'll need, since it covers a lot more once it's warm than it looks like it'll reach while at room temp. Very nice stuff.

I ordered this balm to use on my feet and elbows, not my face. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this product anywhere I have dry skin but this would be overkill for my face which isn’t dry. I love that it’s all natural and the smell is so faint that I can’t even make out what it is. The consistency is thick yet creamy like lard but it’s easy to get out of the jar. I put it on my cuticles, feet and elbows before bed. I always wear socks during the day so I won’t make footprints on the floor after using this product (or any thick moisturizing lotion). Note that the cap on mine doesn’t fit on nor turn to close very well but the jar itself is made of thick glass.

True balm texture. I use it on my nails, cuticles, and hands at night before bed and have tried it on my face (I had no issues being sensitive to products). When applied to the face, it felt like a thick moisturizer (almost like a Vaseline/Aquaphor type product). When applied to my hands, they are so dry that they soak this balm up and by the time I wake up my hands are just as dry as if I didn't moisturize them.

I've used beef tallow on my face as a moisturizer before and like the simplicity and benefits of it. I wanted to try this product to see if there was any difference with the additional ingredients. I think this has a more emollient feel and is easier to spread onto my skin than plain beef tallow, plus it has a more pleasing scent. The jar is small but with this and all tallow I've tried, a little truly does go a long way. This is also great for brought elbows, knees, and heels. I really like this product and highly recommend it for moisturization wherever you need tender care.

I recently received the Grass Fed Beef Tallow and Honey Balm for Skin, and it’s been a great addition to my skincare routine, especially for my feet. It’s actually more of a solid balm, which works well for targeting dry areas like my heels. I am using it to relieve dry, cracked skin on my feet, and it goes on smoothly and absorbs nicely. It is a creamy texture and smells good. Even though I can still feel a light layer on my skin, it’s quite pleasant, particularly when I put on socks afterward. I noticed a noticeable difference after just the first use. My feet felt much softer and more moisturized. This balm is all natural which I like and doesn't contain alcohol which can be drying. This balm contains very clean ingredients which is important to me. I am very pleased with this product. I plan to use it through the winter when my skin tends to be most dry.

I've come to enjoy using tallow for skin care and the RodPere Tallow and Honey Balm is a nice one. It's a firm tallow but melts quickly and has a pleasant outdoor fragrance that is subtle. I don't use it on my face, though, because I don't want to take a chance that it will clog pores. For a feet and leg moisturizer, I really like it. It doesn't leave a greasy feel, but smooth and moisturized. It is especially nice for heels and elbows.

I have been wanting to try a tallow balm since I've heard such great things about them and now I've finally been able to try it! The balm comes in a brown glass jar with a metal screw-on lid. It feels really smooth on the skin. I put a very tiny amount on my wet face and the waterwetness enabled a very small amount to be spread over the entire face. It doesn't take much, which is why I apply it to wet skin. The smell is pleasantly clean and not "barn cowoverbearing or perfumy. This is a wonderful moisturizing option for people that have chemical sensitivities to moisturizers.

While the product may be ok, I am only giving 2 stars due to misleading packaging. The box shows a pic of US flag. While it doesn't state it is made in USA, it would make one think so. On the wrapper there is a sticker that states Made in China... See photos. Very misleading packaging.
