Was exactly what I needed, I took a gamble on this ram not being name brand because I saw a deal and it seems to have paid off. It's working fine so far. Laptop has been used for a day now with this ram and is working well.

good inexpensive ram to boost your PC a little. Have an older PC that couldn't adjust to 8 meg ram so figured I'd just double the current 4 and worked fine with no major adjustments.

Probably fewer bit errors than the 4GB cores originally shipped in the target devices - the ODM has a vertically integrated component supplier

The memory installation went without a hitch. The HP D5850 with Athlon processor booted up with no issues and indicated that all 8 GB of memory was present. I did some 3-D CAD modeling and ran the Cosmos Express FEA program on the models. I had expanded the memory from 4 GB to 8 GB so that I could run these models. Everything went along smoothly for 5 days. On the 6th day the FEA modeling stopped responding. Investigation discovered that only 4 GB of memory was present. I rebooted the PC with no change in available memory. I removed and reseated the memory and rebooted but only 4 GB was present. Apparently half of the memory had stopped working. I re-installed my original four 1 GB memory sticks and all 4 slots were functioning. I returned the 4 memory sticks for a refund as two of the sticks seemed to have experienced infant mortality. I then ordered another 8GB of memory.

Purchased to upgrade an old Asus laptop. Worked like a charm. Very inexpensive way to extend the life of older hardware. Easy to install.
