A have-to-have if you freeze foods, especially now. I delayed buying a vacuum sealer and would be reminded of it every time I had to throw food from the freezer away -- try as I might to package it for future use. As always, I researched a number of models and decided on the Mesliese. I wanted to use it a number of times for a variety of foods before preparing a review. I am impressed with the sealer's quality and sturdiness and how it functions as it claims to do. The speed at which it moves is probably standard but thorough. The suction power is significant and provides for a compressed, airtight seal. I saw one reviewer who couldn't manage the built-in cutter. I'm not sure what that was about -- it slides, and it cuts the plastic. I would purchase this again and I'm providing a photo that's a great example of a food I tried to package myself in the past and ended up throwing it away, covered with frost.

VS6685J I owned and used a Food saver unit that I was happy with until it quit working after 10 years. I ordered a similar model from Amazon and was so disappointed that I returned it. I then ordered another to try that had no storage or cutter for bags and returned it. (worthless) I had almost given up when I saw your add for the VS6685J. It is the closest sealer that I have found that does everything the VERY expensive Food saver did. Your instructions are excellent. When I follow them, the unit works perfectly, especially concerning the distance required when inserting bags into the seal chamber.

I recently purchased a vacuum sealer, and I have to say, it works great! It efficiently removes air and seals my food items perfectly, which has really helped with food storage and reducing waste. The functionality is fantastic, and I've noticed a significant difference in how fresh my food stays.However, I do want to mention that it’s quite loud during operation. If you're sensitive to noise or plan to use it frequently, you might want to take that into consideration. Despite the noise, I’m really happy with the performance and would recommend it for anyone looking to keep their food fresher for longer!

Gave 4 stars only because I thought it would suck the air out so much that the package would be really stiff. It works as should and comes in handy to avoid regular freezer burn when sticking meat in the freezer in a regular zip top bag. Haven't used it as much yet, but once I do, maybe I'll figure out if I'm doing anything wrong. Impressed so far, though.

The nice thing about this machine is that I can start the vacuuming process for baked goods, can stop it before it crushed the food and them continue with the sealing process. You can also store a roll in the top compartment and use the cut knob to get the size you want. seal the end and finish with packaging your item.

Really great product. Seals and vacuum as expected. Between sealing and vacuuming sealing be patient between seals so you get the best use of the vacuum sealer. When it gets hot it can affect vacuum sealer. Over all ease of use and how great the vacuum seal is absolute great buy

Received the sealer and tried it on a few different things and was really impressed, comparing it to our old food saver unit. Much smoother and seals so much better. Very compact easy to store.

No more freezer burn! I used to wrap my Costco hauls of meat in 2 tight layers of plastic wrap then put that in a ziploc bag then tape the bag closed. It was extremely tedious but worked most of the time. But I’d still get freezer burn on some meat which ruined it! So I got this vacuum sealer after I realized that the bacon I was buying was vacuum sealed. (I never had freezer burn on vacuum sealed bacon.). Sure enough, the vacuum sealing was really easy and fast and No More Freezer Burn! The meat freezes beautifully! I defrost it in the vacuum bag and it’s perfect when I open it up to cook. Sometimes I defrost and just sous vide the whole bag! This machine is super easy to use. I’ve used it for long periods of time and it’s never overheated. It takes up very little counter space. It always makes a perfect vacuum and seal. I’m so glad I bought this and I promise you’ll be very happy with it too.
