39th Edition Blue Book of Gun Values

I have purchased this product in the book form in the past and wanted to see if it was available in some type of cd/dvd, thumb drive type of format. To my surprise it was available on thumb drive. Upon receipt the thumb drive is like a credit card with a pop up portion that plugs into a USB port on the computer. Here’s the bad part, nothing worked, the thumb drive opened and instructed me to go to a website but nothing would load. After calling customer service they gave me access to one section to look up information however the employee that handles troubleshooting was not available at that time. I tried signing into the location that I was given but information is limited and certainly not what I paid for. I’m still without full access but to be honest that is my fault because I haven’t had time to call to get this resolved. I’m still disappointed because this should have worked on day 1 and it was a first for me as I wondered why I had been sent a credit card until I saw the cut out and realized that there were copper contacts on the edge and a piece of that card bent away which was slid into the USB Port. Hopefully this gets resolved and if that card has all the information contained in the book it will be a great asset but until then it’s just an expensive piece of plastic

Received but was no indication it was sent and delivered.. confusing. Reviews look good So hope my receiver is satisfied.

I have been using this book to help my friend's widow liquidate his collection of guns. This book is a great guide to establishing a baseline price for a gun based on condition, desirability and rarity. Some of the guns sold for much more than I thought they would and I'm sure that I would have undervalued them without the information I got from the Blue Book.

I use this book to check values of Browning Auto-5s that I already own and that are available in local gun auctions. The last issue I had was the 35th edition (2014)..and the gun values have not changed..so from my viewpoint it's a 4star and not a 5star in terms of value specific to my needs. The discussions on Browning firearms seem little changed.

The standard for determining the potential value of a firearm based on condition. The gradual change in firearm prices from year to year may not require every edition's purchase. However, the addition of new firearms in each version may justify yearly purchases by some people. And some people collect the older versions just to track the value of their collections over time

My husband is a gun enthusiast, he doesn't shoot much anymore, but he likes to be able to find out what guns in his collection are selling for now. He has been reading this book ever since it arrived on Tuesday. He hasn't told anything to me about what he has or has not found, but he must find it interesting since I find the book laying open around the house.

If you a re a gun dealer of individual this book is the best gun value guide. Understand what their grading means most grade guns condition too high. I am a major collector dealer writer 50+ years

"The Blue Book" never bought a gun but can be invaluable for a baseline pricing. Keep in mind, the input data is months old prior to publication so you need to keep current on market pricing. READ the descriptions carefully because a small detail can bring a great bargain for loose you money.
