Jolly Pocket Postman

I already own the Jolly Postman and the Jolly Christmas Postman. I purchased this book to round out my collection. The story is clever, but my favorite is still the original. Some other reviewers noted that their copy of the book was missing items. The copy I received was sealed in a shrink wrap plastic cover and every envelope has a letter or card in it - as it should be.

I must admit that I love anything the Ahlberg's do. However, this book, like their others is magic! The small details throughout the book make for an exciting read and the book is written with a clever wit that makes it very enjoyable. Would highly recommend!

This book is in the same sweet, multi-layered, engrossing vein as the other two Jolly Postman books! ❤️ One happy birthday girl- she’s got all three! Worth the price and the wait to receive it from England (this was the only option at the time of my purchase)! Order and enjoy!

This is one of my FAVORITE books! Every other page is an "envelope" with a letter, card, or even an activity to do. Such a cute story. It' brings in as many of the fairytale characters as it can in one little book. For example, Little Red Riding Hood might get a letter from Goldilocks!

Love this whole series. Because the books come with invites they are easily lost or torn if left with a very young child. Beautiful books for an older child or a child to be read to.

Great book and was packaged nicely!

Having had the original and Christmas versions as a child, I bought these for my children once they were old enough and they have loved them too. I’d never seen this version before so was so excited to gift it to my daughter at Christmas. However I’m really disappointed with it. Very different to the other two. Much wordier book, harder to follow for younger readers. The magnifying lens is fun but the items inside the envelopes are quite dull. My 4 year old got bored listening to it the first time (and I think didn’t understand a lot of it as hadn’t seen or read the wizard of oz or Alice in wonderland). My 10 year old understood it but was also disappointed with the envelop contents. Overall a disappointing addition to a fantastic series.

I had this book for my children, they loved it. I ordered for my grandson and he loves it too. As you turn the pages they get to open envelopes and read the mail, very interactive and they love it as soon as its read it's 'again, again'So, if you are prepared to read it over and over this is the book for you.

Utterly beautiful. My five year old son adores the original Jolly Postman and loves opening the letters. I had to buy this. It is more detailed, has more letters and a little magnifying glass for your child to read the tiny font so lovely and interactive. Highly recommended. Not for children under 5 or they will tear the envelopes!

Fantastic book! If you've read the other two in the range then this one does not disappoint. As usual it follows the tale of the Jolly Postman going about his postal delivery round delivering letters and cards to the fairy story and nursery rhyme characters. This time, however, he appears to have shrunk into a tiny size! You will use the enclosed magnifying glass!

Bought for grandaughter as I had this for my own daughter when she was little and I remember how much she loved it. It’s full of little interactive bits / postcards, pop out cards, a little magnifying glass to read tiny letters. It’s a really great book ans very well written. You’ll not be disappointed.
