Works great. Easy installation if you use the SmartLife app
This is a handy smart switch to add your your smart home collection. You don't need a hub to have Alexa control this device. You only need to use the free app and enable the skill in Alexa. Turning it on and off not only controls the power plug - it also controls the USB charging connections too.If you already have the Smart Life app installed, use that to discover this as a new device. If you don't, ignore the instructions that tell you to use the Annhome app and use the Smart Life app instead. I have contacted the vendor about this and they said that new instructions will reference the Smart Life app instead. They didn't realize the conflict with other devices controlled by the Smart Life app but said they will change their directions and have people use the Smart Life app from now on. They responded to my questions quickly and were eager to make things better. So here is what you need to do. Download the Smart Life app if you don't already have it installed. If you already have it, just open it up. Place this smart plug in discovery mode by holding the power button in for 5 seconds. The light will begin blinking red. Then follow the instructions in the Smart Life app to add a device. NOTE: make sure you are connected to your WiFi on a 2.4 ghz connection. The app will not find the new device if you are on a 5ghz connection. It should name the device "Power Plug" as you can see in one of the pictures I attached.Once the app discovers the new device, go to Alexa. If you have not already enabled the Smart Life skill, do so and link the accounts. After you have the skill enabled and the accounts enabled, have Alexa discover new devices. It will find this one and you can rename it if you don't like the default "Power Plug" name.

Nifty Smart Plug doubles as phone charger
I received my TNAIVE Smart USB Plug and am extremely satisfied with it. It has 2 USB ports on it for charging electronic devices, cell phones, etc. It has a 3-pronged plug to plug into the wall and runs off your Wi-Fi. You will need to down load an app, which it tells you in the instruction booklet, and you will scan the Q code provided to download it. It is for either Play Store or the Apple App Store. Once the app is installed and you are connected to your Wi-Fi, you can connect to your Alexa and control whatever device you have added, such as TV, or desk lamp, pole lamp, etc and tell Alexa to turn it on or off, even from another location. You do have to ensure the button on the front of the plug is pushed to turn it on for any type of use, charging or electrical use. I plan to get several more of these to help turn my home into a smart home.

great!
I've been looking to get a smart outlet for my porch string lights for quite a while. I've already outfitted my home with Philips hue lights, I have the Google home mini and the Amazon echo dot, and I've been adding things little by little o the whole setup. This outlet seemed like a good starter outlet.I chose this one for a few reasons:1. It's well priced2. It has USB outlets so my guests can charge their phones at the same outlet during our potlucks and such.3. It connects to google home and amazon echo, not to mention the IFTTT possibilities.Finding the app was easy with the QR code reader, if you don't have a QR reader on your phone, or don't want one, you can find it by searching the play store for "Annhome" the icon is a muted blue, rounded square with a home made from white dots in varying sizes. If the app icon you're looking at matches that description you're in the right place.Once you have the app, they have you make an account and log in. this will come in handy later if you should decide to expand your set-up with more outlets or their other products (there are icons for various items, including socket, switch, light, power plugs, thermostat, security camera, multi-function socket. So they definitely have more than just this plug!).Then you press the + at the top right of the screen. select the product, in this case it's the "Power Plug", put it in set-up mode (what they call "rapidly blink) by pressing the power button on the outlet itself to turn it on, count to 10 then turn it off, count to 10 again and turn it on, then hold the power button down for 5 seconds. it will turn green with a red flashing light. This is the rapid flash they're looking for, so select "Confirm indicator rapidly blink" in the app and you're done!I set up the timer right after pairing it with the app. It's been working great this way for a few days, on at 7:30, off at 11:45. Perfect! I do wish I could set different daily schedules, however, but maybe eventually? You can also modify the device name by selecting it in the app's home menu and clicking the 3-dot icon in the top right. This way, once you connect it to google home or amazon echo you don't have to say "power plug" or if you get more of these they can have unique names.

It worked so well, I had to buy another one
It’s a very good product. The app can be a little frizty at times, but for just $10 it’s an effective and affordable home automation device.

A little tip is to install them all and pair them before adding to Google Home fine voice commands
Works as advertised. A little tip is to install them all and pair them before adding to Google Home fine voice commands. The app works too.
