I have not used them yet. I tried them on. Tried to poke a toothpick through them and wasn’t able to, which is a good thing. Walked around in them, which was easy. I got them for when I go hiking through the woods.

fit isnt great. considering the "12 individual panels" none are on the front 😂 which is completely flat and doesnt sit well on your leg, keeps trying to slip around the sides for me.which brings me to the second issue, the underfoot straps...no protection for them, its woven nylon getting trampled. now you could put them on before your shoes..but you cant do your shoes up with the panels in the way. also the buckle for those straps is wrong. they pull loose easily as anything. and need two hands to pull tight again. needs a locking clasp)theyll do somethibg but itwont be comfortable.oh and also they were a little short for my long legs.

I hunt, fish, hike, camp out, and a few other things. Snakes are prevalent in the areas where I do those things, as are big thorns and sharp branches. I ordered these to protect myself from the snakes, thorns, sharp branches that are low to the ground, etc. The quality of these is superb, they offer terrific protection against snake bites, they protect against thorns, sharp branches, and other low obstacles, and they allow me to focus on whatever I am doing, instead of focusing on where I am stepping and constantly looking down. These guards are a little confusing when you put them on for the first time. Mine did not have any instructions of any kind included with the guards, but there is a 4 step picture with written instructions on the product page. Believe me, it is a big help. Once you get the guards on, you can adjust them to the fit that is best for you. For me, I want them to fit pretty tight so I don't have to worry about them slipping at the wrong time. Even tight, they are comfortable for as long as I have them on. The guards are very light in weight. I like the color of these, they blend right in with the camouflage that I wear. The cost of these is very fair, and they are worth every penny in my opinion. The best thing about these to me is that they give me peace of mind while I am wearing them, and peace of mind is darn near everything. If you are looking for a product like this, I would highly recommend these!

I picked these up for when I'm traveling to fish in areas where snakes are prevalent. First impression are good - the chaps seem like they'll do the job.I tried punching through them with a needle sharp small knife, and it stopped it - I think it will stop a snake bite.Note, you need boots for these that have a bit of a rise. These will be extremely uncomfortable if you try to use them with sneakers. I was able to use them with wading boots.Pros:+ Puncture resistant. Tested with a very sharp pointed knife, and it didn't go through.+ Good adjustment range.+ Doesn't get loose when walking.Cons:- Takes a while to put them on. And there's a bit of a learning curve to it.- The strap keepers are a bit awkward to put back after tightening.I will need to do more extensive testing on these in the field. Will update this review in the future with my findings.
